Global and Regional Impacts of Stabilizing Atmospheric CO2

Among the key issues of concern to the Climate Convention is the stabilization of greenhouse gas concentrations and the minimization of impacts to global agriculture, natural ecosystems and economic development. The purpose of this paper is to couple these issues in consistent, integrated scenarios, using the IMAGE 2.0 model as an integrating tool. Scenarios of gradual stabilization of atmospheric CO₂ at 350 and 450 ppm are compared to a baseline of no policy action in which CO₂ concentration increases to 777 ppm. Under the stabilizaton scenarios substantially smaller areas of wheat and millet, as well as nature reserves, are threatened by climate change, especially in temperate regions. The amount of sea level rise is also reduced under the stabilization scenarios. However, climate continues to change under the stabilization scenarios and therefore some ‘residual’ climate impacts occur. Hence the integrated scenarios indicate that stabilizing greenhouse gas concentrations at or slightly above current levels will lessen impacts as compared to baseline levels, but not eliminate them. 湛江港湾海域水质状况调查及其评价

根据 1 998年 1 1月到 2 0 0 1年 5月对湛江港湾海域 6期的监测结果 ,初步探讨了该海域环境因子的变化特征和营养水平。结果表明 ,该海域水质处于高氮状态 ,pH、SS、DO和CODcr的含量符合GB30 97- 1 997第二类海水水质标准 ;DIN和油类超过第二类海水水质标准 ;DRP含量的逐年增高 ,湛江港湾海域目前已处于中度富营养化水平阶段。     

生物活性滤池处理有机微污染源水的研究与发展

阐述了生物活性滤池的净化机理,对预氧化、滤料介质、EBCT、反冲洗以及颗粒和絮体等影响生物活性滤池的因素进行了重点讨论。介绍了生物活性滤池的优势和国内外研究与发展的现状,并提出有待进一步研究的问题。     

青海平安富Se土壤区环境及人体Se含量调查

通过对平安区三合镇祁新庄、骆驼堡、三合村3个村庄内土壤、饮用水、人体毛发、人体尿液的采样调查分析,并以乐都城台乡坝口村和山城村2个村庄作为Se背景区进行对比研究,认为平安三合富Se土壤产生了明显的生态效应,Se通过土壤-粮食-人体等生物链进行迁移积累,致使人发、人尿中Se水平与土壤Se呈正相关关系,人体Se水平良好响应环境Se状况。

Changes in quality of groundwater with seasonal fluctuations： an example from Ghor Sail area, southern Dead Sea coastal aquifers, Jordan

The demand for water resources in the area south of the Dead Sea due to continued development, especially at the Arab Potash Company （APC） for production and domestic purposes necessitates that water quality in the area be monitored and evaluated based on the local geology and hydrogeology. The objective of this paper is to monitor seasonal fluctuations of groundwater and to determine how fluctuation in the water levels will affect the groundwater quality. Groundwater levels were found to be influenced by rainfall and pumping of water from the wells for domestic and industrial use. Twenty water samples were collected from different wells and analyzed for major chemical constituents both in pre- and post-seasons to determine the quality variation. Chemical constituents are significantly increased after post-season recharge. According to the overall assessment of the area, water quality was found to be useful for drinking, irrigation and industry.

南昌地震台地下水位变化异常的分析判别

本篇文章主要通过对南昌台地下水位资料变化的处理分析,利用求地下水水位变化的加速度来判别和分析地震异常,并初步进行试验预报和探索研究。     

上海市水体中人工放射性水平调查及评价

调查了１９８９－１９９１年不海市各类水体中人工放射性核素的水平。调查共设点１５个，采集枯、丰水期水样４５个，结果表明，上海市各类水体中＾９０Ｓｒ、＾１３７Ｃｓ和总β放射性浓度均低于国家生活饮用水卫生限制标准，属正常本底水平。按调查结果估算的上海市居民从饮水中摄入的人工放射性核素＾９０Ｓｒ、＾１３７Ｃｓ、＾３Ｈ，所致人均年有效剂量为３．８×１０＾－７ＳＶ，与全国均值相吻合。
