Tetracycline-resistant bacteria (TRB) are of concern as emerging microbial contaminants in reclaimed water. To understand the effects of UV disinfection on TRB, both inactivation and reactivation profiles of TRB, as well as 16 tetracycline-resistant isolates from secondary effluent, were characterized in this study. The inactivation ratio of TRB was significantly lower (3.0-log) than that of heterotrophic bacteria (> 4.0-log) in the secondary effluent. Additionally, the proportion of TRB significantly increased from 1.65% to 15.51% under 20 mJ/cm2 ultraviolet (UV) exposure. The inactivation rates of tetracycline-resistant isolates ranged from 0.57/s to 1.04/s, of which tetracycline-resistant Enterobacter-1 was the most tolerant to UV light. The reactivation of TRB, tetracycline-resistant isolated strains, as well as heterotrophic bacteria commonly occurred in the secondary effluent even after 20 mJ/cm2 UV exposure. The colony forming ability of TRB and heterotrophic bacteria reached 3.2-log and 3.0-log under 20 mJ/cm2 UV exposure after 22 hr incubation. The final inactivation ratio of tetracycline-resistant Enterobacter-1 was 1.18-log under 20 mJ/cm2 UV exposure after 22 hr incubation, which is similar to those of TRB (1.18-log) and heterotrophic bacteria (1.19-log). The increased proportion of TRB and the reactivation of tetracycline-resistant enterobacteria in reclaimed water could induce a microbial health risk during wastewater reuse. 相似文献

针对医院污水中致病微生物的特殊排放要求,研究了膜生物反应器(MBR)应用于医院污水处理中的预消毒及其后续氯消毒特性.结果表明,在工程应用中MBR具有显著的预消毒作用,对医院污水中的细菌总数和粪大肠杆菌的去除率分别达到2.0~3.1 lg和2.8~4.0 lg;对于MBR出水中残留的微生物,采用次氯酸钠进行后续消毒,当接触时间为1 h,在有效氯浓度为0.8 mg/L时,可检测不出粪大肠杆菌,且放置6 h未见再生长,相应的THMs和HAAs分别为16.94 μg/L和32.10 μg/L;固定接触时间,随着Cl2/DOC值的增加,MBR出水中THMs和HAAs均近似呈线性增长趋势(r2分别为0.941?5和 0.965?2),且HAAs的增长速率高于THMs. 相似文献

The ion chromatography combined solid phase extraction (SPE) method was developed for the analysis of low concentration haloacetic acids(HAAs),a calss of disinfection by-products formed as a result of chlorination of hospital wastewater. The monitored HAAs included monochloroacetic acid, monobromoacetic acid, dichloroacetic acid, dibromoacetic acid and trichloroacetic acid. The method employed a sodium hydroxide eluent at a flow rate of 0.8 ml/min, electrolytically generated gradients, and suppressed conductivity detection. To analyze the HAAs in real hospital wastewater samples, C18 pretreatment cartridge was utilized to reduce samples' turbidity. Preconcentration with SPE and matrix elimination with treatment cartridges were investigated and were found to be able to obtain acceptable detection limits. Linearity, repeatability and detection limits of the above method were evaluated. The detection limits of monobromoacetic acid and dibromoacetic acid were 2.61 μg/L and 1.30 μg/L respectively, and the other three are ranging from 0.48 to 0.82 μg/L under 25-fold preconcentration. When the above optimization procedure was applied to three hospital wastewater samples with different treatment processes in Tianjin, it was found that the dichloroacetic acid is the major compound, and the growth ratios of the HAAs after disinfection by sodium hypochlorite were 91.28%, 63.61% and 79.50%, respectively. 相似文献

In this paper, the drinking water biotic safety of particles and bacteria attached to fines in activated carbon process was
investigated by actual treatment process and advanced treatment pilot trial with granular activated carbon. In the experiment,
the particles were detected by IBR particle calculating instrument, the activated carbon fines were counted on the basis of
the most probable number (MPN) with a microscope, the total number of bacteria was analyzed between the conventional agar
culture medium and the one with R2A, and the bacteria attached to activated carbon fines was resolved by the homogenization
technique. The experimental results showed that the average total number of particles was 205 CNT/mL in the activated carbon
effluent during a filter cycle, of which the number of particles with sizes > 2 μm was 77 CNT/mL more than the present particle
control criterion of the American drinking water product standard (50 CNT/mL). The backwash of low density and long duration
lowered particle number in the effluent. The MPN of activated carbon fines in the effluent was between 400 and 600 CNT/L,
which accounted for less than 5‰ of the total particles from activated carbon filtration for a poor relative level (R
2 = 0.34). The microorganisms in activated carbon effluent consisted mostly of heterotrophic bacillus and the total bacteria
number was five times as high as that of the inflow, i.e. the effluent from sand filter. The actual bacteria number may be
truly indicated by the detection technique with R2A culture medium compared with the traditional agar cultivation. The inactivation
efficiency of bacteria attached to activated carbon fines was less than 40% under 1.1 mg/L of chlorine contacting for 40 min.
Results showed that the particles and bacteria attached to activated carbon fines may influence drinking water biotic safety,

供水管网覆盖区域大,导致出厂消毒剂量不足以维持管网末梢余氯量,需进行途中二次投氯.以H市供水管网为目标,通过均匀布点采样分析,考察二次加氯消毒型管网中消毒副产物(disinfection by-products,DBPs)的分布特征.结果表明,管网中检出DBPs包括三氯甲烷(TCM)、一溴二氯甲烷(BDCM)、二溴一氯甲烷(DBCM)、三溴甲烷(TBM)、二氯乙酸(DCAA)、三氯乙酸(TCAA)、二氯乙腈(DCAN)、溴氯乙腈(BCAN)和三氯硝基甲烷(TCNM)等,所检水样中DBPs浓度均低于《生活饮用水卫生标准》(GB 5749-2006)规定的标准限值.二次加氯前检出质量浓度(以平均值±偏差表示)分别为:(8.08±3.34)、(9.77±2.91)、(7.38±4.82)、(2.65±2.02)、(2.95±3.26)、(6.02±6.06)、(3.13±2.48)、(1.61±2.05)和(0.15±0.10)μg·L~(-1).二次加氯后检出质量浓度分别为:(10.30±4.55)、(11.73±3.60)、(8.23±5.22)、(2.95±2.45)、(3.29±3.60)、(8.15±7.58)、(3.31±2.61)、(1.33±2.04)和(0.12±0.06)μg·L~(-1).二次加氯后DBPs含量相较于出厂水至二次加氯点呈明显上升趋势,三卤甲烷(THMs)和卤乙酸(HAAs)分别比前段管网含量升高6.32%~26.60%和5.32%~42.71%.此外,原水水质和季节变化对DBPs的形成有一定影响,夏季DBPs的水平普遍高于春季或秋季.出厂水及管网水DBPs生成势分析表明,H市供水系统中DBPs可能存在超标风险,后续需考虑进一步优化处理工艺以保障供水水质. 相似文献

新型冠状病毒肺炎(COVID-19,简称“新冠肺炎”)疫情期间,消毒剂超量使用,导致大量DBPs(disinfection by-products,消毒副产物)进入自然水体,可能对水生态环境产生不良影响.以5种HAAs(卤乙酸类)消毒副产物(一氯乙酸、二氯乙酸、三氯乙酸、一溴乙酸和二溴乙酸)为研究目标,基于筛选的本土水生生物的毒性数据,采用欧盟《风险评价技术指导文件》中的评估系数法和平衡分配法分别推导了5种HAAs在水体和沉积物两种介质中的PNEC(预测无效应浓度)值.结果表明:5种HAAs对水生生物的急、慢性毒性大小顺序均为一溴乙酸>一氯乙酸>二氯乙酸>三氯乙酸>二溴乙酸;5种HAAs(一氯乙酸、二氯乙酸、三氯乙酸、一溴乙酸和二溴乙酸)的PNECw(水体的预测无效应浓度)分别为0.025、0.030、0.060、0.016和1.956 mg/L,PNECs(沉积物的预测无效应浓度)分别为0.021、0.026、0.057、0.013和1.679 mg/kg(以湿质量计).研究显示,污水处理厂出水中排放的DBPs对水生态环境可能造成潜在的风险和危害,应加强对污水处理厂出水中5种HAAs的监测和去除,从而减少排入到自然水体中的HAAs含量. 相似文献
