Impact of wastewater reuse on cobalt status in Egyptian environment   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
Cobalt is used in the manufacture of alloys,catalysts in the petroleum industry,catalytic converters,and paint pigments.Thus the potential for Co releases into the environment is highly increased.Use of waste sludges and sewage effluent to fertilize and irrigate soils has also increased soil Co concentrations.Total cobalt contents of alluvial delta soil of Egypt show considerable variation ranging from 13.1 to 64.7 ppm.The impact of either wastewater irrigation or industrial activities on soil total Co was obvious due to accumulation of organic matter and solid waste in the surface soil samples.Food crops and vegetables should not be grown on soil highly contaminated by Co.It is noteworthy that the delayed neutron activation analysis(DNAA)technique could be used successfully for total Co determination due to its high sensitivity.It is quit clearly that dust samples of Cairo City contains higher Co level.as compared to Suez Canal Region(Ismailia.Port Said and El-Suez cities).The high values in Cairo City may be due to the existence of industries around the city and the intensive traffic.To minimize Co environmental hazards,waste effluents should be treated on site.Thus,levels of potentially toxic Co needs to be continuously monitored and should be removed during several treatment processes before the disposal of these wastes.  相似文献

对我国几种土类对钴吸附的研究表明,在平衡钴浓度不很高的条件下,土壤对钴的等温吸附表现为直线型,吸附量有明显的从南到北增加的趋势.通过修正竞争吸附方程对pH-钴吸附量曲线的描述,揭示出影响我国土壤对钴吸附容量的主要因素是粘土矿物类型,其次为土壤有机质及粘粒含量;随着土壤中铁锰氧化物的增加;其吸附强度增加.可变电荷高的土壤对钴吸附受pH的影响非常明显.永久电荷为主的土壤则不然.低的土壤pH可抑制铁锰氧化物对钴的强烈吸附.  相似文献

Experiments were conducted to determine the effects of excess dietary cobalt (Co) on its bioaccumulation, on digestive enzyme activities, and on the growth of freshwater catfish Heteropneustes fossilis (Bloch). Four isonitrogenous diets (average crude protein: 32.7%) were formulated to prepare a control diet (T1) with no Co, and three Co-supplemented diets with 0.05 (T2), 0.1 (T3), and 1.0 (T4)% Co. The results showed that H. fossilis fed with T3 diet showed maximum apparent protein digestibility, feed conversion, protein utilization, and growth. Protease and lipase activities were also maximum in T3 diet. Accumulation of Co in different soft and hard tissues of the fish did not show any correlation with the level of Co in the diet. The concentration of Co in the water increased with its dietary level, being at an alarming level at 1.0% dietary Co. It is concluded that an additional supply of dietary Co up to a level of 0.1% is a viable option to augment growth of the catfish H. fossilis, but at higher levels of Co it may be detrimental to the fish and the aquatic ecosystem.  相似文献

通过对石墨炉原子吸收法、电感耦合等离子体质谱法、比色法测定水中钴的方法性能进行比对研究,分析了各自的优缺点,为实验人员对钴分析方法选择提供良好的技术依据。当测定钴含量为5.00%~99.5μg/L时,石墨炉原子吸收法的RSD为2.6%~3.9%,加标回收率为93.5%~101.4%;ICP-MS法的RSD为2.0%~3.3%,加标回收率为95.6%~97.1%;5-CI-PADAB光度法的RSD为3.8%~4.8%,加标回收率为91.6%~103.8%。  相似文献

以无水氯化铁为氧化剂,碳纸为基板,通过化学氧化法制备聚吡咯/二氧化钛(PPy/TiO2)光电阴极,采用XRD、IR、SEM对光催化材料进行表征.以碳纸为阳极;碳纸、TiO2改性碳纸和PPy/TiO2改性碳纸为阴极,构建双室微生物燃料电池(MFC).在光照条件下,研究了MFC废水处理效果、产电性能及阴极钴酸锂的浸出情况.结果表明:PPy/TiO2改性碳纸最大功率密度为10425.7mW/m2,分别是碳纸和TiO2改性碳纸的1.97和1.86倍;PPy/TiO2改性碳纸阴极Co(Ⅱ)浸出率为47.8%,分别是碳纸和TiO2改性碳纸的1.87和1.76倍.  相似文献

采用丝网印刷技术制备用于水中磷酸盐检测的传感器,其中,掺有钴粉的碳浆为工作电极,银/氯化银浆为参比电极.在25℃下,对于用pH为4.0邻苯二甲酸氢钾(KHP)缓冲溶液配制的浓度梯度为1×10-5~0.1mol/L的KH2PO4溶液,钴碳比为1:7磷酸盐丝网印刷电极有良好的能斯特响应,响应斜率为-41.63mV/decade,检测限为5×10-6mol/L,响应时间为60s,稳定性较好.丝网印刷电极的重现性很好,测量同一溶液, 同一钴碳比的丝网印刷电极的相对误差小于1%,不同钴碳比的丝网印刷电极的相对误差小于3.5%.  相似文献

A method utilizing size exclusion liquid chromatography (SEC) was developed to separate and quantify large molecular cobalt (Co) (e.g., albumin-Co) from cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12) and small molecular Co (e.g., glutathione-Co and free Co) in human serum. Highly selective and sensitive detection using inductively coupled plasma–mass spectrometry was coupled with SEC to provide a method with reliable accuracy, precision, recoveries, stability, and a detection limit of 0.037 μg/L in undiluted serum. Other divalent metal cations known to compete with Co(II) for serum albumin-binding sites (such as iron, zinc, manganese, cadmium, copper, nickel, and lead) did not significantly alter Co(II) quantification. Co–protein binding capacity determination of individual serum samples indicated that addition of 2500 μg Co/L to undiluted human serum resulted in approximately 90% distribution to the large molecular Co peak, consistent with Co binding to high-affinity divalent metal binding sites on albumin. Since serum albumin binding partially sequesters biologically active Co(II) ions, this method provides an important tool for better understanding the kinetics and toxicology of Co compounds. Thus, the proposed method might play an important role in establishing Co dose–response relationships that affect the equilibrium concentrations of free ionic Co(II).  相似文献

钴负载MCM-41分子筛催化臭氧氧化水中氯代苯甲酸   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
通过水热法合成介孔分子筛MCM-41,采用等体积浸渍法制备了Co负载MCM-41分子筛催化剂(Co/MCM-41).小角X-射线粉末衍射(XRD)、紫外-可见漫反射光谱(UV-vis DRS)、N2吸附-脱附等温线及透射电镜(TEM)等对催化剂的成分、结构的表征结果显示,Co/MCM-41保持了纯硅MCM-41有序的介孔结构,钴元素以钴氧化物形式存在,比表面达到772 m.2g-1.将Co/MCM-41分子筛用于催化臭氧氧化水中对氯苯甲酸(p-CBA)的研究,结果表明,在优化条件下(2%负载量和25℃反应温度),催化剂的加入显著改善了TOC去除率,达到84.6%,是单独臭氧氧化的1.6倍.  相似文献

研究了负载于氧化铝载体上的Ag、Co和Cu 3种金属催化剂在富氧条件下以丙烯为还原剂,选择性催化还原NO的活性,考察了这3种金属单独负载时其负载量与活性的关系,并尝试探讨了这几种金属活性组分之间的一些组合效应.研究表明,单组分催化剂以Ag的活性最佳,达近90%,Co其次,Cu最低.相应的最佳活性温度则是Cu最低,Ag最高.对于单组分Ag催化剂,相同负载量的分步浸渍与一步浸渍样品活性无明显差异.机械混合样品的活性不是单组分样品活性的简单加和.其中,以Ag-Co机械混合样品的活性最佳,最高活性高于80%.复合催化剂一步浸渍与分步浸渍样品的活性均有不同程度的下降,一步浸渍的几个样品的活性下降尤为明显,最高活性只有30%多.  相似文献

采用N235作萃取剂,在合适的酸度和氯离子浓度条件下,对含钴镍废水进行溶剂萃取处理,重点研究了酸度、氯离子浓度、萃取级数及反萃条件对钴镍分离效率的影响,试验结果表明,可以有效地回收利用废水中的钴和镍。  相似文献
