Variation of grain Cd and Zn concentrations of 110 hybrid rice cultivars

Enhanced Cd uptake and Zn depletion in rice grains and high potential for food Cd exposure by the high-yielding hybrid cultivars of
China had been addressed. A field experiment was conducted in 2006 to determine the di erence in grain Cd and Zn between cultivars.
Total 110 cultivars including super rice and common hybrid rice cultivars were grown on a single paddy soil (Entic Haplaquept)
with a neutral reaction and low total Cd content. Grain Cd and Zn concentrations were determined with graphite atomic adsorption
spectrophotometer (GFAAS) and flame atomic adsorption spectrophotometer (AAS) respectively.Wide variation of Cd content in grain
was found in a range of 0.004–0.057 mg/kg, while the Zn content in a range of 10.25–30.06 mg/kg among the cultivars. Higher Cd
but lower Zn concentration in grains of super rice cultivars was observed compared to the common hybrid ones. A highly significant
positive linear correlation of grain Cd/Zn with grain Cd was found for super rice and common hybrid cultivars, meanwhile much higher
slope for these hybrid cultivars than the reported non-hybrid cultivars was also observed. Using the limit value of the Chinese chemical
guidelines for foods (MOHC and SSC, 2005), calculated potential risk of food Cd exposure with “Zn hungry” through diet intake
was prominent with all the studied 110 hybrid rice cultivars, possessing high potential health problems for rice production in South
China using the super rice cultivars. Breeding of genotypes of rice cultivars with low grain Cd and low Cd/Zn ratio is needed for rice
production in acidic red soils where Cd bioavailability is prevalently high. 相似文献

Can phosphate compounds be used to reduce the plant uptake of Pb and resist the Pb stress in Pb-contaminated soils? 总被引:6,自引:0,他引:6
The effects of di erent phosphate-amendments on lead (Pb) uptake, the activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and the level
of malondialdehyde (MDA) in cauliflower (Brassica oleracea L.) in contaminated soils with 2500, or 5000 mg P2O5/kg soil of
hydroxyapatite (HA), phosphate rock (PR), single-superphosphate (SSP) and the mix of HA/SSP (HASSP) were evaluated in pot
experiments. Results showed that the Pb concentrations in shoots and roots decreased by 18.3%–51.6% and 16.8%–57.3% among the
treatments respectively compared to the control samples. The e ciency order of these phosphate-amendments in reducing Pb uptake
was as follows: HASSPt HA > SSP t PR.With the addition of SSP, HA and the mix of HA/SSP, the SOD activity in shoot was reduced
markedly (P < 0.05) compared with that in the control group. For example, the SOD activities in shoot by the treatments of HASSP,
SSP, and HA in 5000 mg P2O5/kg were found to be only 51.3%, 56.2%, and 56.7%, respectively. Similar e ects were also observed on
the level of MDA in the shoots with a decrease in 24.5%–56.3%. The results verified the inference that phosphate compounds could be
used to reduce the plant uptake of Pb and resist the Pb stress in the plant vegetated in Pb-contaminated soils. 相似文献

Strength development,leachability and microstructure of heavy metals from the solidified waste using synthesis rice husk ash (sRHA) and lime blended at the weight ratio of 1:1 were used as binders.The heavy metal-containing sludge was used at the level of 0 wt.%,30 wt.%,and 50 wt.% dry weight,respectively.The sample specimens with and without 1.5 wt.% of sodium silicate (SiO 2 /Na 2 O=1.0) were cured under the ambient condition and elevated temperature curing at 50°C for 24 hr.Experimental results showed that the introduction of sodium silicate solution and elevated temperature curing to sRHA-based solidified waste containing 30 wt.% of heavy metal sludge gave one day strength of 20 kg/cm 2 compared to 0.9 kg/cm2 for the control sample.XRD patterns indicated that most metal-sulfides present in the sludge were appeared in the solidified waste and SEM coupled with EDX techniques reveal these metal-sulfide particles were trapped within the lime-sRHA matrices.In addition,cumulative leaching behavior by tank test (EA NEN 7375:2004) showed that solidified waste containing up to 30 wt.% of heavy metal sludge was suitable to dispose in a secured landfill. 相似文献

Activated carbon (AC) was considered to be an effective sorbent to control mercury in combustion systems. However, its capture
capacity was low and it required a high carbon-to-mercury mass ratio. AC loaded with catalyst showed a high elemental mercury (Hg0)
capture capacity due to large surface area of AC and high oxidization ability of catalyst. In this study, several metal chlorides and metal
oxides were used to promote the sorption capacity of AC. As a result, metal chlorides were better than metal oxides loaded on AC
to remove gaseous mercury. X-ray diffractometer (XRD), thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA) and specific surface area by Brunauer-
Emmett-Teller method (BET) analysis showed the main mechanisms: first, AC had an enormous surface area for loading enough
MClx; second, Cl and MxOy were generated during pyrogenation of MClx; finally, there were lots of active elements such as Cl and
MxOy which could react with elemental mercury and convert it to mercury oxide and mercury chloride. The HgO and HgCl2 might be
released from AC’s porous structure by thermo regeneration. A catalytic chemisorption mechanism predominates the sorption process
of elemental mercury. As Co and Mn were valence variable metal elements, their catalytic effect on Hg0 oxidization may accelerate
both oxidation and halogenation of Hg0. The sorbents loaded with metal chlorides possessed a synergistic function of catalytic effect

深圳市清水河垃圾焚烧厂周围地区优势植物的汞污染研究 总被引:7,自引:4,他引:3
为研究垃圾焚烧厂对周围植物的汞污染状况,分析了深圳市清水河垃圾焚烧厂周围优势植物茎叶以及土壤的总汞浓度.结果表明,该垃圾焚烧厂周围的优势植物均受到一定程度的汞污染,叶总汞浓度为0.0309~0.2467 mg.kg-1,平均值为0.0948 mg.kg-1,所选择的6种优势植物叶总汞的浓度:台湾相思豺皮樟马占相思大叶相思木荷梅叶冬青;茎总汞浓度为0.0074~0.1196 mg.kg-1,平均值为0.0417 mg.kg-1.同种植物茎叶总汞浓度呈显著正相关,而植物茎叶的总汞浓度与土壤总汞浓度并无显著相关性;在该垃圾焚烧厂主导风向的下风向,距污染源的距离和地形差异共同对烟气扩散浓度产生影响,而植物茎叶总汞浓度变化则与烟气扩散浓度的空间分异格局基本吻合.上述结果充分证明,本研究区内烟气-叶的交互作用在植物与环境的汞交换中占据主导地位. 相似文献

在实验室条件下,研究了生物菌剂的投加量、投加方式及环境温度对石油污染土壤的修复作用 结果表明,土壤中石油烃的降解效果与生物菌剂的投加量呈正相关,当生物菌剂投加量为0.6mg·kg-1时,修复,48 d 后,石油烃的降解率为87%.GC-MS分析结果表明,石油污染原土中烷烃的含量最高为82.1%其次为烯烃,含量为16%,还含有少量的胡萝卜烷、烷基萘、甾烷和藿烷% 添加生物菌剂修复40 d 后,峰的数量由32个减少为14个,表明异构烷烃、烯烃、胡萝卜烷全部被降解,残留的物质为较难降解的正构烷烃、藿烷和甾烷,呈现前高后低的峰形,即接种细菌优先降解高碳组分,将长链的烷烃降解为短链的烷烃,随着生物菌剂投加量的增加,土壤中残留石油烃的含量逐渐降低% 一次加入生物菌剂修复,48 d后的峰高明显低于分2 次加入的相应值,故一次性全部加入生物菌剂是最佳的投加方式% 温度是限制石油污染土壤生物修复的重要环境因素,当温度为30℃第,48 d 的降解率可达80%,当温度为20℃,第,48 d的降解率可达60%,温度高有利于土壤中石油烃的降解,加快修复 相似文献

以聚乙烯亚胺、巯基乙酸为原料,通过酰胺化反应合成了一种新型高分子重金属絮凝剂--巯基乙酰聚乙烯亚胺(MAPEI),研究其处理含汞废水的性能,并对几个影响因素进行了考察.实验结果表明:①该絮凝剂对Hg2+有很好的捕集功能,其中2万分子量的MAPEI去除率最高;②pH值会影响Hg2+的去除;③碱金属和碱土金属离子对Hg2+的去除有促进作用;④C1-、NO3-可促进对Hg2+的去除,而SO2/4-对Hg2+的去除有抑制作用;⑤Hg2+和致浊物质共存时,会相互促进彼此的去除;⑥Hg2+和致浊物质共存时,MAPEI对Hg2+的去除率比TGA的去除率高. 相似文献
