ABSTRACT: Water resources professionals are being increasingly called upon to address complex problems which require the interaction of several individuals operating as a planning or implementation team. Education for water resources professionals must move to meet the demands of this mode of operation. To best prepare the student, educational programs must focus not only on technical competence but must also incorporate concepts of cooperative problem solving with individuals from a diversity of backgrounds as a part of the curriculum. Among strategies which may work are academic requirements outside of the technical specialty, modification of existing course materials, and inclusion of outside faculty as a part of departmental curriculum preparation. 相似文献

随着新形势下城市和工业生产的发展,加强应用技术型高校安全工程专业教师教学能力建设与研究,不仅有助于丰富安全工程专业师资队伍建设与研究成果,而且有助于提升队伍建设质量和水平。本文以重庆市某高校安全工程专业教师教学能力建设开展实证研究,该校通过企业调研和兄弟院校之间的对比分析,邀请安全工程专业部分骨干专业教师、企业代表和其他兄弟院校专业教师开展分析研讨会,初步形成了该校安全工程专业教师教学能力标准,并在相关学院进行试点。结果表明:该校有针对性地从理念、政策、师资队伍、教学平台及课堂教学改革等方面加强该校安全工程专业教师教学能力建设,成效是显著的,经验是可以借鉴的。 相似文献

This article presents a systematic literature review of 109 articles (1992–2015) dealing with Local Agenda 21 processes worldwide. It analyzes two essential elements of Local Agenda 21: (1) the holistic approach of the sustainable development concept and (2) the main driving forces behind such processes. It shows that, although at the beginning, sustainability was seen as a natural extension of environmental policy work, it has been perceived over recent years as a guiding principle applied to issues of environment, economic development, and social welfare, and Local Agenda 21 is perceived as a coherent approach to sustainability planning. In addition, Local Government Strategy is the main typology followed, although it suffers from important limitations. Future studies could focus on local sustainability process outcomes. Further quantitative studies would be welcome, given the qualitative case study dominance in the field. We conclude with a research agenda to tackle theoretical, methodological, and empirical lacunae. 相似文献

During the past decade and a half, environmental monitoring programshave increased in numberand importance. Large scale environmental monitoring programs often present design difficulties because they tend to measure many(sometimes hundreds) of parameters through space and time. Thispaper reviewed and summarized one important component of environmental monitoring programs, the statistical survey design. Survey designsused for long-term monitoring programs lasting multiple (3)occasions were reviewed, paying specialattention to those published after 1985. During this review, two key components of the overall survey design were identified. The first key component wasthe membership design. Groups of population units sampled the same occasionwere called panels here, and the membership design specified which units were members of which panels. The second component was the revisit design that specified when panels were to be revisited. Membership designs varied, butsome form of simple random or systematic design was popular.Among revisit designs, four basicpatterns were found in the literature and their relative strengths andweaknesses were summarized.
