Steroid estrogens such as estrone (E1), 17β-estradiol (E2), estriol (E3), and 17α-ethynylestradiol (EE2) have been suspected to be the main contaminants, which can affect the endocrine system of animals. Many authors have investigated these chemicals in the domestic wastewater treatment plants (WTP). However, wastewater from industries producing steroid contraceptives has not got ample attention. From the environmental point of view, the four steroids are very significant because even very low concentrations (ng/L) can cause reproductive disturbances in human, livestock and wildlife. The main purpose of the present investigation was to develop an analytical method for the determination of the four steroid estrogens present in WTP of a pharmacy factory, mainly producing contraceptive medicine in Beijing, China. Analysis was performed by solid-phase extraction (SPE) system and liquid chromatography combined with tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS). The average recoveries from effluent samples ranged from 88% to 103% and the precision of the method ranged from 9% to 4%. Based on 0.5-L wastewater samples, the limit of quantification (LOQ) was determined at 0.7 ng/L for E1, 0.8 for E2, 0.9 ng/L for E3, and 0.5 ng/L for EE2 in influent, and 1.0 ng/L for E2 and EE2, and 2.0 ng/L for E1 and E3 in effluent. In the influent samples, average concentrations of 80, 85, 73 and 155 ng/L were determined for E1, E2, E3 and EE2, respectively, showing that they were removed in this WTP to the extent of 79, 73, 85 and 67%, respectively. 相似文献

Chemical and physical size fractionation of heavy metals were carried out on 20 soil samples from the scrap yard area. Tessier
method was used in sequential extraction. Cadmium showed the highest levels among the other elements studied in the exchangeable
fraction (about 33%), while other elements showed low levels in this fraction (≥1%). Lead and manganese were mostly found
in the Fe–Mn oxide fraction, zinc and iron were mostly in residual fraction, while copper was mostly found in the organic
fraction of the soil. Soil samples were size-fractionated into four sizes: 1000–500, 500–125, 125–53, and less than 53 μm.
The highest levels of Fe, Cu, Pb, Mn, and Cd were found in the medium fraction (500–125 μm), while zinc showed its highest
levels in the fine fraction (125–53 μm). The order of heavy metal load in the size fractions was found to be medium > fine

使用大流量采样器,分别以石英纤维滤膜(QFF)和聚氨基甲酸乙酯泡沫(PUF)对空气中颗粒相和气相PCBs进行采集。以GC/MS为检测手段,采用选择性离子检测技术(SIM)对PCBs进行定性,内标法结合响应因子法进行PCBs的定量。PCBs的仪器检测限为4.40~93.60pg,回收率为68.57%~121.28%。气相和颗粒相PCBs的方法检测限分别为2.36~381.75fg/m3和2.78~348.81fg/m3。吸附和穿透试验结果表明,在采样流速为0.23m3/min、采样时间为24h的条件下,吸附和穿透情况对空气中PCBs的定量不会产生显著影响。 相似文献

固相萃取-气质联机测定水中嗅味物质2-甲基异茨醇和土霉素 总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4
分别利用固相萃取剂XAD-2树脂和C18SEP柱富集,二氯甲烷洗脱,固相萃取装置浓缩,通过气质联机(GC/MS)测定了水中土霉化合物MIB和Geosmin。该方法重现性好,相对标准偏差5.4%~7.0%,回收率80%~92%,MIB和Geosmin检出限分别为5ng/L和2ng/L。两种固相萃取剂对MIB和Geosmin吸附效率相当,吸附效率不受嗅味物质浓度影响,但当水溶液中其它有机质增多时,C18SPE的回收率明显下降。利用该方法对不同培养时间的放线菌代谢产物进行了测定,培养25天后代谢产物MIB和Geosmin的浓度达到200ng/L和130ng/L。 相似文献

Nitrogen evolution was studied during the co-combustion of hydrothermally treated municipal solid wastes (HT MSW) and coal in a bubbling fluidized bed (BFB). HT MSW blending ratios as 10%, 20% and 30% (wt.%) were selected and tested at 700, 800, 900 °C. Emissions of NO and N2O from blends were measured and compared with the results of mono-combustion trials. Moreover, concentrations of precursors like NH3 and HCN were also quantified. The results are summarized as follows: NO emissions were predominant in all the cases, which rose with increasing temperature. The blending of HT MSW contributed to the NO reduction. N2O emissions decreased with temperature rising and the blending of HT MSW also presented positive effects. At 30% HT MSW addition, both NO and N2O emissions showed the lowest values (391.85 ppm and 55.33 ppm, respectively at 900 °C). For the precursors, more HCN was detected than NH3 and both played important roles on the gas side nitrogen evolution. 相似文献

The co-digestion of a variable amount of fruit and vegetable waste in a waste mixed sludge digester was investigated using a pilot scale apparatus. The organic loading rate (OLR) was increased from 1.46 kg VS/m3 day to 2.8 kg VS/m3 day. The hydraulic retention time was reduced from 14 days to about 10 days. Specific bio-methane production increased from about 90 NL/kg VS to the maximum value of about 430 NL/kg VS when OLR was increased from 1.46 kg VS/m3 day to 2.1 kg VS/m3 day. A higher OLR caused an excessive reduction in the hydraulic retention time, enhancing microorganism wash out. Process stability evaluated by the total volatile fatty acids concentration (mg/l) to the alkalinity buffer capacity (eq. mg/l CaCO3) ratio (i.e. FOS/TAC) criterion was <0.1 indicating high stability for OLR <2.46 kg VS/m3 day. For higher OLR, FOS/TAC increased rapidly. Residual phytotoxicty of the digestate evaluated by the germination index (GI) (%) was quite constant for OLR < 2.46 kg VS/m3 day, which is lower than the 60% limit, indicating an acceptable toxicity level for crops. For OLR > 2.46 kg VS/m3 day, GI decreased rapidly. This corresponding trend between FOS/TAC and GI was further investigated by the definition of the GI ratio (GIR) parameter. Comparison between GIR and FOS/TAC suggests that GI could be a suitable criterion for evaluating process stability. 相似文献

The Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) is an erosion model to estimate average soil loss that would generally result from
splash, sheet, and rill erosion from agricultural plots. Recently, use of USLE has been extended as a useful tool predicting
soil losses and planning control practices in agricultural watersheds by the effective integration of the GIS-based procedures
to estimate the factor values in a grid cell basis. This study was performed in the Kazan Watershed located in the central
Anatolia, Turkey, to predict soil erosion risk by the USLE/GIS methodology for planning conservation measures in the site.
Rain erosivity (R), soil erodibility (K), and cover management factor (C) values of the model were calculated from erosivity
map, soil map, and land use map of Turkey, respectively. R values were site-specifically corrected using DEM and climatic
data. The topographical and hydrological effects on the soil loss were characterized by LS factor evaluated by the flow accumulation
tool using DEM and watershed delineation techniques. From resulting soil loss map of the watershed, the magnitude of the soil
erosion was estimated in terms of the different soil units and land uses and the most erosion-prone areas where irreversible
soil losses occurred were reasonably located in the Kazan watershed. This could be very useful for deciding restoration practices
