Pregnancy and postnatal outcome of mosaic isochromosome 20q

Prenatally diagnosed mosaicism for isochromosome 20q is generally reported in association with a normal outcome at birth and is rarely confirmed postnatally. However, the origin of these abnormal cells is unclear and there are few reports of long-term outcomes. We present an additional case of prenatally detected isochromosome 20q, with normal outcome up to age 3.6 years. The abnormal cells, while present at high levels in the amniotic fluid, could not be confirmed in placenta or fetal blood. Nonetheless, based on a review of the literature, the level of isochromosome 20q cells found is associated with risk of abnormal outcome, suggesting a possible effect in some cases. Trisomy 8 mosaicism in chorionic villus sampling: Case report and counselling issues

We report an unusual case involving chorionic villus sampling (CVS) and trisomy 8 mosaicism. CVS showed a normal direct preparation while the culture showed mosaicism for trisomy 8. Subsequent amniocentesis revealed only normal chromosomes. A peripheral blood culture after birth revealed low-level trisomy 8 mosaicism. The patient appeared phenotypically and developmentally normal at 30 months of age. We conclude that prenatal counselling for similar cases needs to include the rare but real possibility that chromosome mosaicism detected prenatally may be found postnatally with largely unknown consequences. Secondly, low-level chromosomal mosaicism may be more common than previously recognized. Thirdly, very low-level trisomy 8 mosaicism may be compatible with a normal phenotype but long-term follow-up is required. And lastly, the use of fetal blood sampling is questionable in these cases because the phenotype may not be accurately predicted. Further studies of such cases are needed to address these important and unanswered issues, including the potential implication of mosaicism on academic performance and cognitive functioning.     

C, δC and total C content in soils around a Brazilian PWR nuclear power plant

Nuclear power plants release ¹⁴C during routine operation mainly as airborne gaseous effluents. Because of the long half-life (5730 years) and biological importance of this radionuclide (it is incorporated in plant tissue by photosynthesis), several countries have monitoring programs in order to quantify and control these emissions. This paper compares the activity of ¹⁴C in soils taken within 1 km from a Brazilian nuclear power plant with soils taken within a reference area located 50 km away from the reactor site. Analyses of total carbon, δ¹³C and ¹³⁷Cs were also performed in order to understand the local soil dynamics. Except for one of the profiles, the isotopic composition of soil organic carbon reflected the actual forest vegetation present in both areas. The ¹³⁷Cs data show that the soils from the base of hills are probably allocthonous.     

电化学合成的聚合氯化铝的形态特征

采用电解法合成了聚合氯化铝溶液 ,并采用2 7AlNMR法、透射电镜等方法对其形态特征进行了研究 .2 7AlNMR法表明在电化学制备PAC中主要含有铝单体 ,铝的二聚体及Al13形态 .Al13含量与其溶液的碱化度 (B)有关 .在总铝浓度 (AlT)为 2 .0mol L ,B为 2 .2时Al13含量达到最高 ,占AlT 的 70 .2 % ,并在溶液中较稳定存在 .透射电镜实验结果表明 ,电解制备的PAC的粒度分布均匀 ,无团聚现象产生     

Resource abundance and financial development: Evidence from China

In this paper, we extend the debate on the resource curse by focusing on a new mechanism. Theoretically, resource abundance may have a negative influence on financial development by impacting trade openness, the demand for financial reforms, social capital accumulation and productive investments. Using provincial panel data of China, the empirical analysis confirms such a negative link between mineral resource abundance and financial development. The resource-rich regions tend to have a slower pace of financial development than resource-poor ones. Since the positive relationship between financial development and long-run growth is also confirmed by the analysis, our findings suggest that financial development constitutes an important mechanism through which resource abundance can impact economic performance.     

Separating method and dynamic processes of Nano-Al13

In order to investigate the characteristics of pure Nano-Al₁₃, Nano-Al₁₃ was separated and purified from a series of poly-aluminum chloride (PAC) solutions which had the same Al₁₃ percentage but different total Al concentrations, by using column chromatography, ethanol-acetone resolving and SO²⁻ ₄/Ba²⁺ displacement. The Al₁₃ species yield was characterized by Al-ferron timed complexation spectrophotometry and ²⁷Al-NMR (nuclear magnetic resonance). The coagulation efficiency of Nano-Al₁₃, PAC and AlCl₃ in synthetic water was also investigated by Jar tests. The dynamic process and aggregation state of kaolin suspensions coagulating with Nano-Al₁₃, PAC and AlCl₃ were similarly investigated using a photometric dispersion analyzer 2000 (PDA2000). The experimental results indicated that the ethanol-acetone resolving method was simple and could separate the PAC solution at different concentrations, while column chromatography could separate PAC solutions at low concentrations. The SO₄ ²⁻/Ba²⁺ displacement method could separate PAC solutions at high concentrations. However, extra inorganic cation and anion could be added in the solution during separation. The coagulation efficiency and dynamic experimental results showed that Nano-Al₁₃ with high positive-charged species was effective in removing turbidity and color. The dynamic process results showed that Nano-Al₁₃ also had the best recovery capability after shearing compared with PAC and AlCl₃ because the Nano-Al₁₃ conformation is more effective in charge neutralization. 墨水河流域分阶段综合治理规划研究

"十三五"期间,墨水河流域作为青岛市重点流域之一,要求全面消除城市黑臭水体,水环境质量得到阶段性改善。为实现这一目标,通过墨水河流域现状调查,找出流域内污染问题,从流域综合治理角度,结合水质改善目标与动态流量下的自净能力模拟计算,提出改善墨水河水环境的治理技术方案,实现全面消除劣V类水体、恢复水环境基本功能。     

"类龟式"Al13盐酸盐的制备及絮凝性能

采用氯化铝溶液电解法、氯化铝溶液溶铝法、稀盐酸溶铝法、氯化铝溶液碱性阴离子树脂交换法、氯化铝溶液补水蒸馏法、氯化铝溶液压溶氢氧化铝或氧化铝法等促使氯化铝水解-聚合的方法,通过控制起始溶液的浓度、水解-聚合的程度和体系的温度,制成"类龟式"Al13含量超过96.5%的聚合氯化铝结晶,其中电解法制备的产物纯度达99.9%,盐基度61.48%,总铝(Al2O3)33.75%,水不溶物0.01%,Alb达97%.化学分析、X-射线粉末衍射和X-射线单晶结构解析结果表明,产物是一种由十三个铝氧八面体连接组成的Al13(OH)24Cl15·37H2O化合物.高岭土模拟水样和黄河水样絮凝试验表明,絮凝效果优于市售固体聚合氯化铝、氯化铝和硫酸铝,经絮凝处理的黄河水主要水质质量指标达到国家生活饮用水标准GB5749-85的要求.     

Al13改性羟基磷灰石的除氟性能研究

为了提高羟基磷灰石（HAP）的除氟效果,采用化学沉淀法合成3种不同Al/Ca值的Al₁₃改性后的HAP吸附材料,并对其进行XRD、FTIR、SEM、BET等表征,考察吸附过程中pH的影响,同时通过吸附热力学、吸附动力学等探讨了其除氟性能.结果表明,Al₁₃-HAP材料比HAP更加疏松多孔,当Al/Ca=0.7时,比表面积增大到了137.2 m²·g^-1,孔容增大到0.8217 cm³·g^-1.FTIR结果表明,Al₁₃的掺入给吸附材料中带入了大量—OH.根据Al₁₃-HAP吸附F^-前后的表征,F^-主要通过配体交换取代Al₁₃-HAP中的—OH从环境中被去除.当Al/Ca=0.4时,Al₁₃-HAP最大除氟效果达到5.03 mg·L^-1;零电荷点pH_PZC为8.46,大于HAP的pH_PZC,具体表现为对天然水体pH值适用性较广.吸附过程与Langmuir吸附模型以及拟二级动力学模型契合度高,这也证实了化学吸附为主要作用,吸附热力学结果表明Al₁₃-HAP吸附氟是自发的吸热过程.
