A meta‐analysis of three national databases determined the potential linkage between soil and surface and groundwater enrichment with phosphorus (P). Soil P was enriched especially under dairying commensurate with an increase in cow numbers and the tonnage of P‐fertilizers sold. Median P concentrations were enriched in surface waters receiving runoff from industrial and dairy land uses, and in groundwater beneath dairying especially in those aquifers with gravel or sand lithology, irrespective of groundwater redox status. After geographically pairing surface and groundwater sites to maximize the chance of connectivity, a subset of sites dominated by aquifers with gravel and sand lithology showed increasing P concentrations with as little as 10 years data. These data raise the possibility that groundwater could contribute much P to surface water if: there is good connectivity between surface and groundwater, intensive land use occurs on soils prone to leaching, and leached‐P is not attenuated through aquifers. While strategies are available to mitigate P loss from intensive farming systems in the short‐term, factors such as enriched soils and slow groundwater may mean that despite their use, there will be a long‐term input (viz. legacy), that may sustain surface water P enrichment. To avoid poor surface water quality, management and planning may need to consider the connectivity and characteristics of P in soil‐groundwater‐surface water systems. 相似文献

Hyperbaric oxygen increases the partial pressure of O2 in arterial blood and tissues and thereby relieves cellular hypoxia. We investigated whether this treatment changes biochemical parameters and intestinal mucosal barrier function in rats exposed to toxic levels of CO. Groups of ten Sprague–Dawley rats were treated with CO, with hyperbaric oxygen, or with CO followed by hyperbaric oxygen. A fourth group maintained under normal atmospheric conditions served as a control. CO poisoning increased red blood cell distribution width and the amount of alanine aminotransferase, urea nitrogen, and tight junction creatine kinase but decreased the mean corpuscular hemoglobin (Hb). These changes were reversed after hyperbaric oxygen therapy, which increased the number of red blood cells, hematocrit level, total protein, and Hb level. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy also increased tight junction protein 1 expression and reduced toll-like receptor 4 expression in the rat colon. In conclusion, hyperbaric oxygen resulted in an improved oxic condition in CO-poisoned rats and restored energy metabolism by repairing, to some extent, the organs injured by CO. English is widely recognized as the language of science, and English-language publications (ELPs) are rapidly increasing. It is often assumed that the number of non-ELPs is decreasing. This assumption contributes to the underuse of non-ELPs in conservation science, practice, and policy, especially at the international level. However, the number of conservation articles published in different languages is poorly documented. Using local and international search systems, we searched for scientific articles on biodiversity conservation published from 1980 to 2018 in English and 15 non-English languages. We compared the growth rate in publications across languages. In 12 of the 15 non-English languages, published conservation articles significantly increased every year over the past 39 years, at a rate similar to English-language articles. The other three languages showed contrasting results, depending on the search system. Since the 1990s, conservation science articles in most languages increased exponentially. The variation in the number of non-English-language articles identified among the search systems differed markedly (e.g., for simplified Chinese, 11,148 articles returned with local search system and 803 with Scopus). Google Scholar and local literature search systems returned the most articles for 11 and 4 non-English languages, respectively. However, the proportion of peer-reviewed conservation articles published in non-English languages was highest in Scopus, followed by Web of Science and local search systems, and lowest in Google Scholar. About 20% of the sampled non-English-language articles provided no title or abstract in English; thus, in theory, they were undiscoverable with English keywords. Possible reasons for this include language barriers and the need to disseminate research in countries where English is not widely spoken. Given the known biases in statistical methods and study characteristics between English- and non-English-language studies, non-English-language articles will continue to play an important role in improving the understanding of biodiversity and its conservation. 相似文献

传统的卤代烃自然衰减研究主要关注生物降解过程,然而近年有研究发现卤代烃可以被地层中的活性矿物还原降解.对天然活性矿物介导下卤代烃非生物自然衰减的研究进展总结显示,可以还原降解卤代烃的天然矿物主要包括铁硫矿物、铁氧矿物和含铁黏土矿物等,其中铁硫矿物在含水层中分布最为广泛.常见的反应机制包括还原消除、氢解、自由基加成、自由基偶联、脱卤化氢、水解,其中还原消除和氢解是其中最重要的两种反应机制,常见于卤代烷烃和卤代烯烃的非生物降解.卤代烃的非生物降解产物主要取决于还原降解途径和母体卤代烃.不同矿物对卤代烃的降解活性大致表现为马基诺矿?黄铁矿>黑云母>蛭石≈绿锈>磁铁矿≈蒙脱石.卤代烃的降解速率除受矿物种类影响外,还受到卤代烃种类、pH、硫化物浓度、共存金属离子、天然有机物、矿物形态等因素的影响.现有的研究已经确证活性矿物的还原降解是卤代烃自然衰减的重要机制,但该领域中仍然有一些重要知识点有待进一步研究.关于活性铁矿物Fe(Ⅱ)类型和反应能力之间的关系、还原卤代烃过程中Fe(Ⅱ)的结构变化以及结构态Fe(Ⅱ)向卤代烃的电子转移方式等仍然不清楚,建议进行更深入的研究;现有研究大都基于实验室小试装置,实际场地的研究不多,建议今后进一步探究实验室发现的规律是否符合场地中的实际情况;地下水位波动导致活性矿物间歇性暴露在溶解氧中,可能产生羟自由基(·OH)实现并导致卤代烃的氧化降解,这方面的研究目前尚存在不足,建议给予更多关注. 相似文献

随着航空发动机效率的持续提高,其涡轮前温度不断攀升,CMAS腐蚀失效已成为制约热端部件热障涂层可靠性和耐久性的关键问题之一。基于此,首先简要分析了航空发动机CMAS的来源,然后从热力学、热化学和热物理3个维度,深入分析了热障涂层的CMAS腐蚀机制,阐述了上述3种模型下涂层与CMAS的作用机理。在此基础上,提炼形成了热障涂层CMAS腐蚀的基本过程。针对CMAS化学成分和涂层成分、涂层组织结构等影响热障涂层CMAS腐蚀行为的主要因素进行了探讨,进一步基于国内外提升涂层抗CMAS腐蚀能力的研究进展,归纳形成了5种技术途径。最后,从支撑航空发动机的研制需求的角度,分析了当前抗CMAS涂层工程化应用研究中存在的主要问题,明确了抗CMAS涂层研制的工作重点。 相似文献

采用铁为阳极的原位电凝聚方法处理活性黑KN-B染料废水。以活性黑KN-B在特征吸收波长600nm和255nm的吸光度变化为分析指标,考察了电流密度、染料溶液初始pH值、电介质浓度及种类、温度、染料浓度等影响因素对染料废水脱色过程及脱色速率常数的影响。同时根据化学反应动力学理论对其脱色的动力学过程及脱色机理进行了初步探讨与分析。实验结果表明:染料溶液的脱色反应符合一级反应动力学过程;电流密度、染料浓度、染料溶液初始pH值及电解质的种类及浓度对一级反应速率常数影响显著,而染料溶液温度对一级反应速率常数的影响较小;染料废水的脱色过程是电凝聚和染料还原共同作用的过程。 相似文献
