为了评估黄土丘陵区实施退耕还林工程对县域粮食安全的影响,选取研究区典型四县——米脂、清涧、子洲和吴堡,假设实施退耕还林工程粮食补贴全部以粮食实物兑现和不实施退耕还林工程退耕的坡耕地提供粮食生产为前提,运用修订的耕地压力指数模型来对比评估退耕还林工程对县域粮食安全的影响。研究结果表明:退耕还林工程对米脂县和子洲县粮食安全影响较明显,对清涧县和吴堡县影响甚微。不同退耕规模对不同人口密度县域粮食安全的影响程度不同。研究结果对国家建立长期、稳定、有效的粮食补偿机制有一定参考意义。 相似文献

A multi-agent simulation (MAS) was developed to assess the risk of malaria re-emergence in the Camargue in southern France, a non-endemic area where mosquitoes of the genus Anopheles (Culicidae) live. The contact rate between people and potential malaria vectors, or the human biting rate, is one of the key factor to predict the risk of re-emergence of malaria, would the parasite be introduced in the region. Our model (called MALCAM) represents the different agents that could influence malaria transmission in the Camargue – people, mosquitoes, animal hosts and the landscape – in a spatially explicit environment. The model simulates spatial and temporal variations in human biting rate at the landscape scale. These variations depend on the distribution of people and potential vectors, their behaviour and their interactions. A land use/cover map was used as a cellular-spatial support for the movements of and interactions between mobile agents. The model was tested for its sensitivity to variations in parameter values, and for the agreement between field observations and model predictions. The MALCAM model provides a tool to better understand the interactions between the multiple agents of the disease transmission system, and the land use and land cover factors that control the spatial heterogeneity in these interactions. It allows testing hypotheses and scenarios related to disease dynamics by varying the value of exogenous biological, geographical, or human factors. This application of agent-based modelling to a human vector-borne disease can be adapted to different diseases and regions. 相似文献

Agroecological landscapes have the potential to simultaneously meet food security and biodiversity conservation goals but are hindered by emerging biodiversity conflicts. Here, we opt to view the social–ecological factors that decrease biodiversity impacts or increase tolerance of biodiversity in agroecological landscapes as system parameters for their potential capacity to move a social–ecological system from states of conflict to alternative desired system states devoid of major losses for both food security and biodiversity, that is landscapes of coexistence. We discuss how reframing landscapes as social–ecological systems allows focusing on manageable components, or coexistence parameters, that explain biodiversity impacts and are hence capable of dampening conflicts. Approaches from the social, economic, or ecological sciences allow for the formulation of management strategies tailor-made for each system, with a higher chance of success than one-size-fits-all strategies. Conceptually recognizing coexistence parameters may enable easier assessment of a landscape's current state and identification of the required actions needed to transition towards a state of coexistence. 相似文献

Over 300,000 caddisfly specimens representing 249 species were collected from nearly 250 sites throughout Minnesota during
2000 and 2001 to determine the effects of human disturbance on the composition of caddisfly trophic functional groups at the
landscape level. Canonical correspondence analysis determined that stream width was the most important variable influencing
functional group composition in regions of the state with relatively low disturbance, and that differences in the caddisfly
fauna between sizes of streams generally followed trends predicted by the river continuum concept. In regions of the state
with moderate disturbance, both stream width and the percentage of disturbed habitat upstream of a site were important variables
influencing functional group composition. In highly disturbed regions, no variables corresponded to changes in the composition
of caddisfly functional groups. Instead, ecosystems were homogeneous: fine-particle filtering collectors dominated in all
sizes of streams. The observed aquatic ecosystem homogenization is attributed mostly to input of fine-particle organic and

Eco-environment quality evaluation is an important research theme in environment management. In the present study, Fuzhou
city in China was selected as a study area and a limited number of 222 sampling field sites were first investigated in situ with the help of a GPS device. Every sampling site was assessed by ecological experts and given an Eco-environment Background
Value (EBV) based on a scoring and ranking system. The higher the EBV, the better the ecological environmental quality. Then,
three types of eco-environmental attributes that are physically-based and easily-quantifiable at a grid level were extracted:
(1) remote sensing derived attributes (vegetation index, wetness index, soil brightness index, surface land temperature index),
(2) meteorological attributes (annual temperature and annual precipitation), and (3) terrain attribute (elevation). A Back
Propagation (BP) Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model was proposed for the EBV validation and prediction. A three-layer BP
ANN model was designed to automatically learn the internal relationship using a training set of known EBV and eco-environmental
attributes, followed by the application of the model for predicting EBV values across the whole study area. It was found that
the performance of the BP ANN model was satisfactory and capable of an overall prediction accuracy of 82.4%, with a Kappa
coefficient of 0.801 in the validation. The evaluation results showed that the eco-environmental quality of Fuzhou city is
considered as satisfactory. Through analyzing the spatial correlation between the eco-environmental quality and land uses,
it was found that the best eco-environmental areas were related to forest lands, whereas the urban area had the relatively
worst eco-environmental quality. Human activities are still considered as a major impact on the eco-environmental quality

Land‐use dynamics and climatic gradients have large effects on many terrestrial systems. Exurban development, one of the fastest growing forms of land use in the United States, may affect wildlife through habitat fragmentation and building presence may alter habitat quality. We studied the effects of residential development and temperature gradients on bird species occurrence at 140 study sites in the southern Appalachian Mountains (North Carolina, U.S.A.) that varied with respect to building density and elevation. We used occupancy models to determine 36 bird species’ associations with building density, forest canopy cover, average daily mean temperature, and an interaction between building density and mean temperature. Responses varied with habitat requirement, breeding range, and migration distance. Building density and mean temperature were both included in the top occupancy models for 19 of 36 species and a building density by temperature interaction was included in models for 8 bird species. As exurban development expands in the southern Appalachians, interior forest species and Neotropical migrants are likely to decline, but shrubland or edge species are not likely to benefit. Overall, effects of building density were greater than those of forest canopy cover. Exurban development had a greater effect on birds at high elevations due to a greater abundance of sensitive forest‐interior species and Neotropical migrants. The Convention on Biological Diversity has catalyzed worldwide awareness of threats to biological diversity and stimulated global conservation strategies. These have led to national and international legislation and have generated debate about the most effective conservation actions. Under the EU Habitats Directive, all member states are obliged to establish a system for strict protection of species listed in Annex IV(a), which includes all bats. In England, this obligation has resulted in legislation that allows for derogation from strict protection under license, provided activities are undertaken to mitigate any potential negative effects on bat numbers. We used an evidence‐based approach to assess the cost‐effectiveness of mitigation strategies and the English bat‐derogation licensing process as a whole. We analyzed data from 389 bat derogation licenses issued in England from 2003 to 2005 relating to 1776 roosts and 15 species to determine the nature and extent of development and mitigation activities and their effects on bats. Overall the effects of licensed activities on roosts were negative. Despite the level of protection afforded to bats, the majority (68%) of roosts for which derogation licenses were issued were destroyed. There were species‐specific differences in the probability of roosts being destroyed, and impacts on roosts did not reflect a species’ conservation status. Information provided by licensees was inadequate and inconsistent. Most licensees (67%) failed to submit postdevelopment reports, and postdevelopment monitoring was conducted at only 19% of sites. Despite a minimum of £4.13 million spent on mitigation structures for bats from 2003 to 2005, it was unclear whether the licensing process meets EU obligations. On the basis of our results, we believe there is a need to overhaul the licensing process, to establish a comprehensive, standardized postdevelopment monitoring system, and to demonstrate that mitigation is commensurate with Britain's legal obligations.
