Preparation of organically functionalized silica gel as adsorbent for

A novel adsorbent (AMPS-silica) was synthesized by bounding AMPS (2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid) onto silica
surface, which functioned with
-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane reagent. The adsorbent was characterized by nitrogen adsorption/
desorption measurement, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and potentiometric titration analysis. The TGA result indicated that
the surface modification reactions introduced some organic functional groups onto the surface of silica. The surface area of AMPSsilica
was 389.7 m2/g. The adsorbent was examined for copper ion removal in series of batch adsorption experiments. Results showed
that the adsorption of Cu2+ onto AMPS-silica was pH dependent, and the adsorption capacity increased with increasing pH from 2 to 6.
The adsorption kinetics showed that Cu2+ adsorption was fast and the data fitted well with a pseudo second- order kinetic model. The
adsorption of Cu2+ onto AMPS-silica obeyed both Freundlich and Langmuir isotherms, with r2 = 0.993 and r2 = 0.984, respectively.
The maximum Cu2+ adsorption capacity was 19.9 mg/g. The involved mechanism might be the adsorption through metal binding with
organic functional groups such as carboxyl, amino and sulfonic groups. Cu2+ loaded on AMPS-silica could be desorbed in HNO3
solution, and the adsorption properties remain stable after three adsorption-desorption cycles. 相似文献

Abstract This study was carried out in a pilot plant for the treatment of anaerobic cattle manure waste. The pilot plant consisted of a semicontinous anaerobic reactor, a settling tank, a filtration process and an ionic exchange column. The study was focused on the filtration process, with natural zeolite as filtering material. In the filtration process different media sizes of natural zeolites packed in columns were tested. The ranges of media size were 0.4 ‐ 1.0, 1.0 ‐ 3.0 and 3.0 ‐ 5.0 mm. Filtration systems operated by gravity flow from 2 to 10 m3m‐2h‐1. The process control was done by assays of solids, turbidity, total and soluble COD, ammonium and orthophosphate. The results showed a better behaviour in the filters packed with a media size range between 1.0 and 3.0 mm, operating at 7 m3m‐2h‐1, principally when effluent gross particles were previously retained in an Heterogeneous Media Filter, operating at 4 m3m‐2h‐1. Biogenic silica (BSi) contents in the marsh plants (Phragmites australis, Scirpus mariqueter and Spartina alterniflora) and associated
sediments in Chongming Island eastern intertidal flat of the Yangtze Estuary were determined. The BSi contents in P. australis, S.
mariqueter and S. alterniflora varied from 25.78–42.74 mg/g, 5.71–19.53 mg/g and 6.71–8.92 mg/g, respectively. Over the entire
growth season, P. australis and S. mariqueter were characterized by linear accumulation patterns of BSi. The aboveground biomass
(leaves and culms) of the marsh plants generally contained more BSi than underground biomass (roots). BSi contents were relatively
higher in dead plant tissues than in live tissues which was probably due to the decomposition and the leaching of labile components
of plant tissues such as organic carbon and nitrogen. Comparing with the habitats of S. mariqueter and S. alterniflora, the highest BSi
content was recorded in sediments inhabited by P. australis, with an annual average of 15.69 mg/g. Overall, the intertidal marshes in
the Yangtze Estuary may act as a net sink of BSi via plant uptake and sedimentary burial. 相似文献

根据2014年1月实测的海南岛昌化江径流化学组成,运用物质平衡法和相关分析法估算化学径流组成的来源和控制因素,探讨流域化学风化产物HCO_3~-和溶解性硅(DSi)的输出及生态环境意义。结果表明昌化江流域水体呈中偏弱碱性,化学径流组成阴离子以HCO_3~-为主,阳离子以Ca~(2+)、Na~+为主。其中,77.30%的离子源于流域内硅酸盐岩的化学风化,1.38%的离子来源于碳酸盐岩风化,大气沉降对化学径流的贡献为5.45%,人类活动对干、支流化学径流的贡献分别为15.90%与21.04%,差异显著(P0.01)。地貌条件、岩性及径流深度是影响流域化学径流组成的关键因素。昌化江流域干季输入南海的HCO_3~-和DSi量分别为2.12×10~8 mol、1.38×10~8 mol,是南海海洋生态系统初级生产力的主要物质来源之一,在南海生态系统物质循环预算中不可忽视。 相似文献

经C60、N-甲基甘氨酸和间硝基苯甲醛反应得到N-甲基-2-(3-硝基苯基)吡咯烷[3′,4′∶1,2][60]富勒烯(MNPF)反应液,旋转蒸发干燥得质量分数为23%的MNPF粗品,采用柱色谱法批量分离其中的MNPF。确定了柱色谱法批量分离MNPF的最佳工艺条件:二硫化碳为流动相,柱层析用硅胶(37~48μm)为固定相,色谱柱直径5cm,高径比为6∶1,最大上样量为23 g。此时分离所得MNPF纯度达99%,回收率为92.3%。 相似文献
