Measuring sustainability is an integral part of decision-making processes in order to promote sustainable development. The present paper focuses on sustainability indicators as these are measured on local level and explores two main issues: firstly, the subjective measurement of indicators focusing especially on social dimensions of sustainability, secondly, the incorporation of local perceptions in sustainability assessments. These two issues are explored in the Asopos River basin in Greece, an area where significant environmental degradation has been observed in the past decades and is also under financial pressure due to the ongoing national recession. A large-scale research study was conducted measuring environmental, economic and social indicators while, at a second stage, a model was developed, estimating new indicators that incorporate local communities’ perceptions on what they considered as important for their area. The results of the study reveal that the most important indicators for the sustainable development of the area, according to locals’ perceptions, are environmental quality as well as quality of life. By contrast, trust in local and central institutions and also local enterprises were not considered as important by locals. These results illustrate the importance of combining global and national scale assessment with locally focused social measurements of sustainability in order to better understand what is important for local communities prior to embarking on public policy planning.  相似文献

• Real ML-GFW with high salinity and high organics was degraded by O3/H2O2 process. • Successful optimization of operation conditions was attained using RSM based on CCD. • Single-factor experiments in advance ensured optimal experimental conditions. • The satisfactory removal efficiency of TOC was achieved in spite of high salinity. • The initial pH plays the most significant role in the degradation of ML-GFW. The present study reports the use of the O3/H2O2 process in the pretreatment of the mother liquor of gas field wastewater (ML-GFW), obtained from the multi-effect distillation treatment of the gas field wastewater. The range of optimal operation conditions was obtained by single-factor experiments. Response surface methodology (RSM) based on the central composite design (CCD) was used for the optimization procedure. A regression model with Total organic carbon (TOC) removal efficiency as the response value was established (R2 = 0.9865). The three key factors were arranged according to their significance as: pH>H2O2 dosage>ozone flow rate. The model predicted that the best operation conditions could be obtained at a pH of 10.9, an ozone flow rate of 0.8 L/min, and H2O2 dosage of 6.2 mL. The dosing ratio of ozone was calculated to be 9.84 mg O3/mg TOC. The maximum removal efficiency predicted was 75.9%, while the measured value was 72.3%. The relative deviation was found to be in an acceptable range. The ozone utilization and free radical quenching experiments showed that the addition of H2O2 promoted the decomposition of ozone to produce hydroxyl radicals (·OH). This also improved the ozone utilization efficiency. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis showed that most of the organic matters in ML-GFW were degraded, while some residuals needed further treatment. This study provided the data and the necessary technical supports for further research on the treatment of ML-GFW.  相似文献

利用溶剂热合成法合成了氨基修饰的Fe/Cu-MOF-NH2,分别采用XRD、SEM、N2吸附-脱附、UV-vis、EA等检测方法进行了表征分析,并将其用于RhB的光催化降解,考察了RhB的初始质量浓度、催化剂质量浓度和pH对光催化降解的影响。结果表明,氨基的引入显著提升了催化剂的可见光响应性能;在合成Fe/Cu-MOF-NH2时,当含氨基配体与不含氨基配体的摩尔比为1∶1、RhB初始质量浓度为300 mg·L−1、催化剂质量浓度为1 mg·mL−1、pH为4.2时,光照4 h后,催化剂对RhB的去除率达到99.53%。活性物种淬灭实验结果表明,·OH、h+分别是Fe/Cu-MOF-NH2和Fe/Cu-MOF在催化降解过程中的主要活性物种。以上结果可为探究Fe/Cu-MOF-NH2光催化降解RhB的机制提供参考。  相似文献

以邻苯二甲酸二[2-乙基己]酯(DEHP)和邻苯二甲酸二丁酯(DBP)为研究对象,以废水污泥和填埋场沥出液为接种物,在严格厌氧环境下,进行了苯二甲酸酯生物降解的研究试验。结果表明,DBP有较好的可降解性,去除率大于95%;而DEHP在填埋场沥出液培养样中去除率小于30%;但当接种物为消化污泥时,DEHP的去除率为89.7%。产甲烷的微生物群在邻苯二甲酸二酯的降解过程中起着非常重要的作用。  相似文献

放线菌StreptomycesvenezuelaeGY1产生的聚乙烯醇(PVA)降解酶是一种诱导酶.以4种不同类型的PVA为唯一碳源时,该菌株单位质量细胞产酶能力比以糖类物质为唯一碳源时提高10倍以上.聚合度和醇解度最高的PVA1799是该菌株产生PVA降解酶的适宜底物,其浓度为1gL-1时,PVA降解酶的产量为120u/g(细胞).培养基中PVA1799浓度由1gL-1上升到5gL-1时,该菌株单位质量细胞产酶能力下降73%,表明PVA1799浓度过高会抑制产酶.GY1菌株产酶的最适温度和pH分别为30℃和7.0.在GY1菌株生长过程中控制以下条件有利于产生PVA降解酶:(1)保持培养体系中较高的溶氧水平;(2)在氮源中补充NO-3;(3)在一定浓度范围内添加MgSO4·7H2O、CaCl2、MnSO4、BaCl2、ZnSO4、FeSO4·7H2O和CuSO4等金属盐.Pseudomonassp.产生的PVA降解酶能够作用伯醇或仲醇类化合物,以这些伯醇或仲醇类化合物代替培养基中的PVA,不能诱导GY1菌株产生PVA降解酶;而在培养基中有PVA存在时,再添加0.5gL-1的3戊醇和环己醇能够明显促进PVA降解酶的产生(单位质量细胞产酶能力分别提高了21%和32%).图8表1参10  相似文献

The starch content and its composition have important consequences for the yield of the harvested crop and the materials extracted from it. The functional properties of the foods or other processed materials derived from these crops are also affected by the structure and composition of the starch. Recently, genetic engineering has been used to produce plants with an elevated starch content, achieved by transforming the plant with a mutated bacterial gene coding for an ADPglucose pyrophosphorylase that is active in the presence of metabolites which inhibit the plant enzyme. Besides the practical implications of these results, this experiment provided direct evidence for the regulatory role of the ADPglucose pyrophosphorylase in starch synthesis. Other bacterial enzymes, such as glycogen synthase and branching enzyme, could be introduced in order to modify starch structure. However, a more elegant (but longer-term) approach would be to learn enough about the structure-function relationships of the plant enzymes so that the product of their action could be changed. To achieve this objective, much more will have to be learned about the enzymes involved in the biosynthesis of starch than is presently known. 黑河流域位于我国的西北内陆干旱区。人类不合理利用水资源造成的土地退化,已成为黑河流域一个非常严重的生态问题。土地荒漠化是该流域最典型和最严重的土地退化形式。对该流域土地退化的空间分布、特点、退化面积等方面还没有较为详细的研究,因此探讨这个问题就显得非常重要。文章通过最新的遥感影像资料(2000年),在分析已有的研究成果的基础上,结合野外调查,利用遥感和地理信息系统(GIS)技术,初步分析了黑河流域土地退化的情况。研究结果表明,黑河流域土地退化主要有5种类型,即:水土流失、干旱化、植被退化、盐渍化和沙漠化。土地退化面积达29971.91km^2,占整个流域面积的23.06%;其中,水土流失主要分布在祁连山的南部山区,面积为5747.68km^2,占整个流域土地退化面积的19.18%,主要是由于过度开垦和放牧造成的;由于人类活动的影响,造成水资源在时空上的重新分配而导致的干旱化土地主要分布在山前部分冲、洪积平原的河流沿岸附近,其面积为1369.96km^2,占整个流域土地退化面积的4.57%;盐渍化土地是该流域土地退化的主要类型之一,面积为10591.82km^2,占整个流域土地退化面积的35.34%,分布在流域的低地、冲积扇的边缘等位置,主要是由于干旱的气候条件造成的;沙化土地,包括流动沙丘(地),是研究区土地退化面积最大的类型,为10771.97km^2,占整个流域土地退化面积的35.94%,这其中也包括历史时期形成的沙漠和现代形成的大部分沙地;植被退化土地面积为1490.48km^2,只占整个流域土地退化面积的4.97%。通过分析可知,黑河流域土地退化严重,特别是在下游地区。人类不合理的经济活动,尤其是对该流域内有限水资源的不合理利用,是导致该地区土地生态系统脆弱的主要因素。  相似文献

本实验采用新型厌氧—好氧一体化反应器处理高浓度有机废水,主要研究了系统的启动与运行性能,并对系统的NH3 N去除效果作了初步考察。实验结果表明:在16℃~24℃的自然温度下,采用递增负荷、厌氧和好氧分期启动的方式,系统可在38天内达到较好的启动效果;在系统负荷运行期内,当系统总进水COD浓度平均值为3601 8mg/L,总出水COD浓度平均值为384 0mg/L,系统容积负荷平均值为2 54kgCOD/(m3·d),系统总HRT平均值为35 1h时,系统总COD去除率平均值达90 6%。实验还发现:当进水NH3 N浓度为280 3~350 7mg/L,整个系统的NH3 N去除率在68 5%~91 7%,平均为81 0%。由此说明,本反应器具有很好的COD去除性能和NH3 N去除效果,适合于处理COD浓度高且含有中等NH3 N浓度的有机废水。  相似文献

以钛酸丁酯为原料.以膨润土为载体,用酸性溶胶法合成TiO2纳米复合物,并利用该复合物作催化剂,在H2O2存在下进行光催化降解苯胺溶液。结果表明,该催化剂在UV/H2O2系统中对苯胺溶液有很好的光催化降解效果,其效果优于纯TiO2;H2O2的存在提高了苯胺光催化降解速率,在本实验条件下其最佳摩尔浓度是5mmol/L;溶液pH是影响反应速率的重要因素.pH在中性范围内具有更强的光催化活性;该体系中苯胺能够有效地被降解,其光催化反应遵循一级反应动力学规律。  相似文献

In the present work the effect of the alkyl chain length and the position of the sulfophenyl substituent of the linear alkylbenzene sulfonates (LAS) on their anaerobic biodegradability have been investigated. Degradation kinetics of the linear alkyl benzene sulfonates homologues, 2C10LAS, 2C12LAS and 2C14LAS, have been studied. It has been also investigated the effect of the isomer type on the degradation rate of the LAS molecule through the comparative study of the 2C10LAS and 5C10LAS isomers. Batch anaerobic biodegradation tests were performed using sludge from the anaerobic digester of a wastewater treatment plant as microorganisms source. Ultimate biodegradation was evaluated from the biogas production whereas primary biodegradation was determined by specific analysis of the surfactant. LAS homologues and isomers showed a negligible primary biodegradation under anaerobic conditions. Furthermore, analysis of sulfophenyl carboxilates (SPC) by LC–MS indicated a low and constant level of these LAS degradation metabolites over the test period. These data are consistent with a minimal transformation of the LAS parent molecule in the anaerobic digesters. On the other hand, the addition of the shortest alkyl chain length homologues, decyl and dodecylbenzene sulfonates, reduces the biogas production whereas the most hydrophobic homologue, the tetradecylbenzene sulfonate, enhances the biogas production. This LAS homologue seems to increase the availability of organic compounds sorbed on the anaerobic sludge promoting their biodegradation.  相似文献
