Ultrasensitive determination of carbendazim in water and orange juice using a carbon paste electrode

A carbon paste electrode was used for the electrochemical quantification of carbendazim in water and orange juice samples. Carbendazim oxidation on the electrode surface was found to be controlled by adsorption. The novel electrochemical procedure for carbendazim quantification employed differential pulse voltammetry using a carbon paste electrode under optimal conditions. Carbendazim oxidation currents were linear at concentrations of 2.84 to 45.44 µg L?1, with a limit of detection of 0.96 µg L?1. The proposed method was applied to carbendazim quantification in ultrapurified water, river water, and orange juice. Recovery rates in water and orange juice samples were in the 97%–101% range, indicating that the method can be employed to determine carbendazim in these matrices, with advantages including shorter analysis time and lower cost than routine methods such as chromatography or spectroscopy. The electrode showed good reproducibility, remarkable stability, and especially good surface renewability by simple mechanical polishing. The recovery rates observed were highly concordant with those obtained for high-performance liquid chromatography, having a relative standard deviation of less than 1.3%. 相似文献

In this paper, the performance of direct injection diesel engine was experimentally investigated under the influence of two different pistons’s geometry deep bowl combustion chamber (DBCC) and toroidal combustion chamber (TCC) compared with standard piston combustion chamber (SPCC) geometry. The experiments were carried out standard atmospheric conditions of 1.01325 bar and 30 ± 2 °C. The piston bowl was designed and developed without modifying the compression ratio of the engine. The investigations were carried out with B25 (25% GOME + 75% diesel), B50 (50% GOME + 50% diesel), B75 (75% GOME +25% diesel) and B100 (100% GOME) by volume blends for three different bowl geometries. The thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) was given the importance of higher in-cylinder temperature for the mass change of GOME leads to a more premixed phase of combustion. The results showed that DBCC has better combustion characteristics when compared with SPCC and TCC for all the blends. The B25 and B50 blends showed good combustion characteristics with DBCC and SPCC individually. While TCC showed average engine characteristics for all the blends categorically, the brake thermal efficiency for B25 blend confirmed a 4.7% higher than SPCC-diesel with DBCC piston, and the smoke, CO (Carbon monoxide), and HC (Hydrocarbon) are reduced by 9.2%, 30.7%, and 4.6%, respectively. Thus, the B25 blend in a DBCC piston engine was observed to be the distinction than other configurations. The results confirmed that the DBCC is a good option for B25 blend. 相似文献

The average initial deposits of carbaryl were observed to be 1.4 and 3.1?mg?kg?1, respectively, following four applications of the insecticide at 4.95 and 9.9?kg active ingredient per hectare. Residues of carbaryl dissipated below its limit of quantification of 50?µg?kg?1 after 7 and 10 days at single and double the application dosage, respectively. The half-life values (t 1/2) of carbaryl were worked out to be 1.3 and 0.7 days, respectively, at single and double dosages. The acceptable daily intake (ADI) for carbaryl has been fixed at 8?µg?kg?1 body weight per day. Keeping in view the residues of carbaryl observed one day after the last application, a child of 10?kg and an adult of 60?kg will have an intake of 77 and 154?µg carbaryl after consumption of 100 and 200?g grapes, in comparison to its ADI of 80 and 480?µg; thus, no health risk is to be expected. Therefore, a waiting period of 1 day has been suggested for the safe consumption of carbaryl-treated grapes to avoid any health hazards. 相似文献

Pinot noir, bastardo, rkaziteli and semillon grapes on vines grown in the Barossa Valley of South Australia were treated with a commercial dithianon formulation. The grapes were harvested by hand eight days later, and made into wine. Grab samples of berries, grape juice and the young wine were analysed for fungicide residues. No dithianon was detected in control grape samples, grape juices or wines. Significant dithianon levels were detected on the skins of treated grape samples. Dithianon is stable on the surface of grapes under the ambient conditions prevalent under the grape canopy for at least two weeks. No dithianon was detected in grape juice, on grape skins after berry crushing, in the lees, or in the young wine. Dithianon is unstable in grape juice and wine. Dithianon half‐life (initial concentration = 1 μg/mL) in semillon grape juice = 2.8 h, semillon wine = 0.58 h, pinot noir grape juice = 4.6 h, and pinot‐noir wine = 0.29 h. Treatment with fining agents or heat does not significantly reduce the rate of degradation. These results suggest that spraying table grapes with dithianon two weeks before harvest would result in exposure to essentially the full dose of active ingredient sprayed, and increase the risk to human health through ingestion of this compound. However, any threat to human health from ingestion through grape juice or wine is limited since any contact with grape juice or wine leads to rapid decomposition of dithianon by some as yet undetermined process. 相似文献
