利用铁锰复合氧化物包覆海砂制备了一种用于污水除磷的新型颗粒状吸附剂,并对其表面特性与磷吸附行为进行了研究.扫描电镜(SEM)分析结果表明,包覆后海砂颗粒表面凹凸不平且多孔,BET比表面积由0.06增至2.52 m2·g-1.磷吸附实验结果表明,包覆后海砂对磷的吸附能力显著提高,最大吸附容量为1.01~1.23 mg·g-1,优于多数文献报道的负载改性砂颗粒吸附剂;吸附动力学更符合准二级动力学方程,推测磷在包覆海砂表面发生了化学吸附;溶液p H对磷吸附有一定影响,离子强度则影响不大;共存阴离子对磷吸附影响的大小顺序为Si O2-3CO2-3F-SO2-4Cl-. 相似文献

Manning's equation is used widely to predict stream discharge (Q) from hydraulic variables when logistics constrain empirical measurements of in‐bank flow events. Uncertainty in Manning's roughness (nM) is the major source of error in natural channels, and sand‐bed streams pose difficulties because flow resistance is affected by flow‐dependent bed configuration. Our study was designed to develop and validate models for estimating Q from channel geometry easily derived from cross‐sectional surveys and available GIS data. A database was compiled consisting of 484 Q measurements from 75 sand‐bed streams in Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina (Southeastern Plains), and Florida (Southern Coastal Plain), with six New Zealand streams included to develop statistical models to predict Q from hydraulic variables. Model error characteristics were estimated with leave‐one‐site‐out jackknifing. Independent data of 317 Q measurements from 55 Southeastern Plains streams indicated the model (Q = AcRH0.6906S0.1216; where Ac is the channel area, RH is the hydraulic radius, and S is the bed slope) best predicted Q, based on Akaike's information criterion and root mean square error. Models also were developed from smaller Q range subsets to explore if subsets increased predictive ability, but error fit statistics suggested that these were not reasonable alternatives to the above equation. Abstract Samples of a mineral soil (Plainfield sand) and an organic soil (muck) were treated with granular and EC formulations of chlorpyrifos and incubated at 27±1°C and 65±5% RH in open and closed containers. Duplicate samples of each soil‐formulation‐container combination were analyzed for residual chlorpyrifos during a 23 wk period. The disappearance rates observed demonstrate that the relative importance of formulation and containment on overall persistence depends on soil type. For the mineral soil, disappearance was slower from closed containers and formulation had only a slight effect while, in the organic soil the granular formulation disappeared slower than the EC and there was little difference between open and closed containers. The relative importance of degradation and volatilization in the disappearance of chlorpyrifos from soil is discussed. 相似文献

To better understand the atmospheric behaviour of pesticides, heterogeneous ozonolysis of three herbicides (alachlor, terbuthylazine and trifluralin) adsorbed on silica particles were performed in a flow reactor. The experimental setup used in this study and previously validated (Pflieger et al., 2009) has been specially developed to investigate extremely slow reactivity. The pesticides were adsorbed on particles using a gas/solid adsorption equilibrium, in order to simulate atmospheric conditions. After exposure to ozone concentrations ranging from 5 to 41 ppm during 90 min to 6 h, the kinetics were calculated by comparing the initial and the remaining amounts of pesticides adsorbed on silica particles. This work offers the first results of heterogeneous ozonolysis of alachlor and trifluralin adsorbed on mineral particles. Although alachlor and terbuthylazine were expected to react with ozone, no degradation was observed which leads to a lifetime higher than 8 months towards ozonolysis (for 40 ppb of O3). A significant degradation of trifluralin adsorbed on silica particles by heterogeneous ozonolysis was observed. The experimental data could be fit by both the Langmuir–Rideal and the Langmuir–Hinshelwood models resulting in atmospheric lifetimes (towards heterogeneous ozonolysis) of 40 and 32 days respectively (for 40 ppb of O3). Waste molding sands from the foundry industry have been successfully used as a component in manufactured soils, but concern over metal contamination must be addressed before many states will consider this beneficial use. Since there is little data available on this topic, the purpose of this study was to characterize total and leachable metals from waste molding sands. A total elemental analysis for Ag, Al, As, B, Ba, Be, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mg, Mn, Mo, Ni, Pb, Sb, V, and Zn was conducted on 36 clay-bonded and seven chemically bonded molding sands. Total metal concentrations in the molding sands were similar to those found in agricultural soils. The leaching of metals (i.e. Ag, As, Ba, Be, Cd, Cr, Cu, Ni, Pb, Sb, and Zn) was assessed via the toxicity characteristic leaching procedure (TCLP), synthetic precipitation leaching procedure (SPLP), and ASTM water leach test. Based on the TCLP data, none of the 43 molding sands would meet the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) characteristic for toxicity due to high Ag, As, Ba, Cd, Cr, and Pb. Compared to the TCLP results, the metal concentrations were generally lower in the SPLP and ASTM extracts, which is likely related to the buffering capacity of the extraction fluids. 相似文献

River water quality was evaluated with respect to eutrophication and land use during spring snowmelt and summer base flow
periods in Abashiri (mixed cropland-livestock farming) and Okoppe (grassland-based dairy cattle farming), eastern Hokkaido,
Japan. Water from rivers and tributaries was sampled during snowmelt and summer base flow periods in 2005, and river flow
was measured. Total N (TN), NO3–N, and Si concentrations were determined using standard methods. Total catchment and upland areas for each sampling site
were determined with ArcGIS hydrology modeling software and 1:25,000-scale digital topographic maps. Specific discharge was
significantly higher during snowmelt than during base flow. In both areas, TN concentrations increased, whereas Si concentrations
decreased, with increased specific discharge, and were significantly higher during snowmelt. The Si:TN mole ratio decreased
to below or close to the threshold value for eutrophication (2.7) in one-third of sites during snowmelt. River NO3–N concentrations during base flow were significantly and positively correlated with the proportion of upland fields in the
catchment in both the Abashiri (r = 0.88, P < 0.001) and Okoppe (r = 0.43, P < 0.01) areas. However, the regression slope, defined as the impact factor (IF) of water quality, was much higher in Abashiri
(0.025) than in Okoppe (0.0094). The correlations were also significantly positive during snowmelt in both areas, but IF was
four to eight times higher during snowmelt than during base flow. Higher discharge of N from upland fields and grasslands
during snowmelt and the resulting eutrophication in estuaries suggest that nutrient discharge during snowmelt should be taken
into account when assessing and monitoring the annual loss of nutrients from agricultural fields. 相似文献
