HO ‐ initiated oxidation of acridine and aminacrine in aqueous media: Kinetic model

The photodecomposition of diluted aqueous solutions of acridine and aminacrine in the presence of hydrogen peroxide was studied. Irradiation was carried out with a low pressure mercury vapour lamp. The kinetic model describes the photodegradation rate of the organic compound with respect to the technological parameters of the reactor and provides the reaction rate constants of hydroxyl radicals towards these two molecules. This model was extented to high hydrogen peroxide concentrations ([H₂O₂] > 200 μmol/l) by considering the reactivity of hydroxyl radicals towards hydrogen peroxide. This assumption allows us to define an optimal hydrogen peroxide concentration.     

活性染料K-2BP在环境水体中的光解效应

研究了活性染料K－2BP在TiO2存在下的光催化氧化分解。结果表明,影响光解过程的主要因素是染料浓度、催化剂TiO2的用量和pH。实验条件下,染料样液脱色率可达90％以上,将该法用于实际印染废水的处理,光照6h,脱色率可达70％以上。     

Heterogeneous photocatalytic decomposition of benzene on lanthanum-doped TiO2 film at ambient temperature

Lanthanum-doped anatase TiO₂ thin films on glass prepared via a sol–gel process have been shown to have much higher photocatalytic activity for the degradation of gaseous benzene than pure anatase TiO₂ thin film. The photodecomposition of benzene on both types of TiO₂ films follows the first-order kinetics while the CO₂ and CO formation followed the zero-order kinetics. GC/MS identification of the intermediates produced during the photodegradation of benzene revealed that doping lanthanum into TiO₂ thin film favors a cleavage of benzene ring. An optimal lanthanum amount with respect to photocatalytic activity was about 2.5 wt% (La₂O₃/TiO₂).
