| Abstract: | The food and feeding habits of Anguilla anguilla L. in Lake Manzalah (Egypt) have been studied. Analysis of stomach contents revealed that eels alter their type of diet as they grow. Their feeding rate varies also with season, size and environmental temperature. A negative correlation was found between length and feeding index of A. anguilla. |
