Abstract: | The accuracy of predictions of quantities of solid waste based upon waste generation factors reported in the literature was tested. Estimates of residential, industrial, and commercial solid waste quantities were computed for Brown County. Wisconsin U.S.A. and compared to actual waste quantities received. Predictions were within 20% for residential wastes and for some predictions of commercial wastes but far from the mark for industrial and construction-demolition wastes. |
