Abstract:Samples of atmospheric particulate matter and total atmospheric deposition were collected for a one-year period at a rural site on the Washington coast. Samples were analyzed for 13 stable elements and 7Be. The ratios of elements to 7Be in air and total deposition samples were similar. The total deposition rates of elements measured were used to predict total deposition velocities of those elements in other areas, then compared to actual measurements at those locations.
