Abstract:On the basis of introducing the engineering geology and hydro-geology of the foundation pits of Wuhan Exhibition Hall located in Hankou district in Wuhan, the author brings up a reasonable design and construction measure for the device of dewatering of its foundation pits, obtaining very good effect of dewatering and ensuring the completion of the project. The paper introduces emphatically the new methods and new thinking used in it, such as selection of calculation parameter and type of dewatering well. The author thinks the selection of calculation parameter is the key of dewatering design and dewatering cost in Hankou area, the dewatering effect of the non-integral well is better than that of the integral well in Hankou district, and the dewatering does not do harm to the environment around if we do a suitable controlling.
