Abstract: | This paper reports on a study of interpersonal conflicts in the workplace using a process model proposed by Thomas (1992) as a framework. Three stages of this model are examined: the issues involved, the behavioral responses elicited, and the personal consequences. The relationship of issues and behaviors to consequences is determined within the context of the organizational positions of the parties (supervisor, subordinate, co-worker). |
