茅山地区地震地质工作及其与地震关系的研究史略(代前言)

本文作为代前言,系统地回顾了茅山地区地震地质研究的发展历史,数列了前人在这一地区所作的重要贡献及其成果,重点包括:茅山断裂带的延伸,活动性,地震构造,应力场等几个问题.同时也涉及到这一地区的古地震研究,震害地质,宏观地面运动,历史地震活动及现今地壳形变等问题.

THE STUDY HISTORY ON SEISMO-GEOLOGY AND ITS RELATION TO THE OCCURRENCE OF EARTHQUAKES IN MAOSHAN DISTRICT

As the preface of this special issue,the authors intraduce the study history and current outcome of scientific researches on seismology and geology and its relation to the occurrence of earthquakes particularly in the Maoshan district,Liyan,Jiangsu province.The main subjects and aspects are involved as follows:the extension and activity of Maoshan fault zone,seismic tectonics,tectonic stress state,the study on the earthquakes of history and prehistory,seismic hazard,macro-ground motion and crustal deformation and so on.
