| Abstract: | The present study deals with the biochemical composition of Channa orientalis from a habitat polluted by slaughter house wastes in comparison to an unpolluted habitat of Mudasarlova stream of Visakhapatnam. The total proteins, carbohydrates and lipids were found to be less in the organisms collected from the polluted habitat. The probable reasons for these variations are discussed in detail. |
