Abstract:Zogie wetland is not only the important area of water source conservation in the Yellow River upstream, but also plays a key role in maintaining the ecological security of the basin and national for its functions on conserving water, regulating flow and protecting biodiversity. In recent years, because of the global climate change and unreasonable human activity, the ecological degenerating trend of Zoige Wetland gets more and more serious and threatens the situation of ecological security. Based on the analysis on the trend of ecological degeneration and the theoretical framework of ecological security of Zogie Wetland, this paper discussed the main contents of ecological monitoring of Zogie Wetland, and proposed the preliminary programme, which could be the basis and reference of ecological protection and management of Zogie Wetland.
