| Abstract: | Frequently occurred heavy rains and rainstorms in the middle and low reaches of the Yangtze River in the early summer 1969 have characteristics of long duration, wide scale, rapid dropping and great strength. It resulted in rare flooding catastrophe in the history and caused serious economic loss. |
