| Abstract: | Guizhou is situated in the east of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau,and also located at the watershed between the Changjiang River and the Zhujiang River.Soluble rocks are wide spread,accounting for 73% of the total area in Guizhou,so that Guizhou is one of the most famous karst areas in the world.The author divided the karst foundations in the mountainous coteau area into three kinds: rock foundation,red clay foundation and rock & clay foundation just like the case in Guizhou,then discussed all kinds of the appraisals and processes of karst foundations in the mountainous coteau area and proposed some new appraisals and processes in this paper. |
