ASSESSMENT ON MONETARY LOSS OF DEATH FROM NATURAL DISASTERS

The authors emphasize on research for assessment on monetary loss of death from natural disasters, on the basis of "Capitalized value of man's earning capacity theory of western economic. They serve one's present value of future earning as a standard for measuring the size of the loss. After calculating loss of a torandoe in 1949, the authors point out the difficulties and necessity of developing the study in China, together with the socioeconomic characteristices of the country.
