Posterior Environmental Impact Assessment (PEIA) is a branch of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).PEIA is an action to examine actual environmental impact and effectiveness of mitigating measures after the conduction of conventional EIA.The main working contents of PEIA are environmental monitoring,examination and assessment,environmental management,and other environmental researches.It not only verifies the predicting models used in the original EIA process and the correctness of results,but also makes important supplements and modifications to original working contents,furthermore proposed more reasonable and practical environmental protecting measures and countermeasures.
