| Abstract: | During the period of plum rains in 2003, a catastrophic flood occurred along the Huaihe River. The scale of the flood is just second to that of 1954. Characteristic of this flood is recapitulated. The combined scheduling of flood-control works and method of scientific flood control in Anhui province are summarized. Some suggestions and strategic measures of flood control along the Huaihe River are put forward. |
