Analysis and Discussion on Container Transportation and Environmental Protection

This paper introduces the impacts of low carbon economy on transportation industry, including the effect of con-cept, low carbon transport low carbon economy to the transport sector. Low carbon economy requires promoting the single mode of transport efficiency, low carbon economy requires optimization of transportation structure and low carbon economy requires effec-tive regulation of transportation demand. Discussion on the container transport energy consumption was made, including the analy-sis of the energy consumption of different transport modes, namely highway freight rail freight, the coefficient of energy consump-tion, energy consumption coefficient of inland waterway transportation energy consumption coefficient, single mode of transport to complete the whole society volume of total energy consumption, carbon dioxide emission analysis, comparative analysis of contain-er transport carbon dioxide emissions calculation method selection, calculation of carbon emissions and carbon emissions results.
