| Abstract: | The selection and dominance of glycogen-accumulating organisms(GAOs) were investigated in laboratory-scale sequencing batch reactors.Results indicated that the enrichment of GAOs could be improved by reducing influent phosphate concentration.It was found acetate is more effective to remove phosphorus than propionate in the first phase cultivation. |
