系列开发江南红壤山丘,促进农业转型

江南多山丘,占总面积70%以上。红壤丘陵及割切阶地广泛分布于山间盆地与河谷平原两侧。这一带人口密集,主要从事单一粮食生产,广大丘陵只作为樵材、取肥的场所。致使天然植被荡然无存,甚至发生严重水土流失。试点证明:立足沟谷水田增产的同时,开发整治山丘。在保蓄当地降水的基础上,采用农、林、牧、渔业措施,全面综合开发山丘;并选定1～2项主导商品生产项目,进行开发。建成立体农业生产体系,从而获得明显的生态、经济与社会效益。

SYSTEMATICAL EXPLOITATION OF RED SOIL HILLY REGION IN SOUTHERN YANGTZE VALLEY FOR COMPREHENSIVE PRODUCTION

In southern Yangtze Valley there is vast area of red soil hilly sections located inthe intermountain basins and along the tributaries of the Yangtze River.This falls inthe densely populated area.Large number of labours are concentrated in the gullies forraising rice.At the same time,the most parts of red soil hills nearby are mainly forfuel and organic fertilizers collection.The result is that the natural ever-green broad-leaf forests are almost completely destroyed;only ferns and weeds are growirg.Soilerosion is quite severe in some places.The experimental plot demonstrates the comprehensive overall arrangement of fora-ge crops and mixed forests in the hilly region.On the bases of conserving the runoff fromthe slopling lands,agriculture,forestry,animal husbandry and fishculture were embar-ked on.More over.1-2items of economic plants were choosing for plantation to promotethe income of local people.The steroe-layout agricultural system may show conspicuousecological,economical and social benefits in a few years.
