Abstract:The effects of Al stress on photosynthesis and transpiration in Masson pine were studied in this report. It showed that the Al toxicity decreased photosynthesis and increased transpiration. Further results showed Al decreased chlorophyll contents in needles, reduced the activities of GAP; therefore, aluminum could influence photosynthesis by damaging chloroplast membranes, decreasing chlorophyll contents and inhibiting some enzyme activities.
