Reduction of nitric oxide on iron-based catalysts containing vanadium

Abstract:The catalytic reduction of NOx with NH3 on alumina supported Fe-Cr-V (18/1/1 atomic ratios) oxides and Fe-V (1/1 atomic ratio) oxides in simulated flue gas has been investigated. Preliminary experimental results indicate that both show exceptional promise as sulfur-resistant and active catalysts for the control of NOx in power plant exhaust emissions.
