| Abstract: | Debris flows often occur in the mountain areas over 2/3 territory of China, especiallyin the areas around Qinghai-Xizang(Tibet) plateau, Qinling Mountains, Taihang Mountainsand Yianshan Mountains. China seriously suffers from debris flows that cause a loss of 2 bil-lion RMB yuan and kill 300 ~600 people a year. China has devoted into debris flow researchand disaster mitigation a lot. |
