Abstract: | Concentrations of 131I and 134,136,137Cs in tropospheric and stratospheric air were determined over Poland during the first three weeks after the Chernobyl accident. Large amounts of activity were found at the higher levels of the troposphere up to 9 km. In the stratosphere, the activities at 15 km were usually about 1 to 6% of ground-level values. |
