Abstract: | The current hazardous waste management policy in Victoria, Australia is presented. A basic strategy includes waste minimisation, cradle to grave control, State regulated, privately owned waste treatment plants and a planned high temperature incinerator to be located in New South Wales. Public participation at all levels has been encouraged. |
