Progress in Research and Application of Treating Surface Water by Bio-film Technology

The pollution state of surface water in China at present is introduced, and it＇s still poor. The main contamination indexes are TN and TP. The primary method to recover contaminated surface water is the biological treatment. The principle of treating surface water by bio - film technology is expounded. The bio - film technology and its advantages and disadvantages at home and abroad are summarized and analyzed. Some related cases are enumerated. Finally, the trend of the water treatment de- velopment of this technology is forecast according to the experience of foreign river regulation. Because the bio - film technology combined with the ecological method integrates the advantages of each other, it is considered as the tendency of surface water treatment development.
