| Abstract: | The safe disposal of industrial wastes has become a public issue: this has led to in-creased regulatory emphasis on alternative methods of waste management . particularly landdisposal. The advantages and disadvantages of using industrial wastewaters for irrigation areoutlined. The mechanisms for pollutant stabilization are briefly discussed. The paper providesa review of many of the design considerations involved in an acceptable waste managementsystem that utilize irrigation as a means of disposal. |
