Abstract:In order to explore the fractal characteristics of the pore fracture structure in coal,the coal samples of four coal seams in Guizhou rich coal area were taken as the research object,and the pore fracture development degree and connectivity of coal samples were comprehensively characterized by means of scanning electron microscope and low temperature liquid nitrogen experiment,and the Photoshop and Image-Pro-Plus image processing technologies were applied to carry out the binarization processing and main parameters extracting on the SEM images of coal.The fractal dimensions of pore fracture of the above coal samples were calculated by combining with the island method,and the results were compared with those of SEM and low temperature liquid nitrogen experiments.The results showed that through the SEM and low temperature liquid nitrogen experiments,it was found that the order of the connectivity of pore fracture was as follows:No.3 coal seam of Liupanshui coalfield>No.9 coal seam of Qianbei coalfield>No.8 coal seam of Qianbei coalfield>No.8 coal seam of Zhina coalfield.Based on the image processing technology combined with the island method,the fractal dimensions of pore fracture of the experimental coal samples were calculated,and the order of each experimental coal seam was as follows:No.3 coal seam in Liupanshui coalfield
