Brief Discussion on the Setup of Health Protective Zone in Environmental Impact Assessment

There are some problems in the national health protection zone standards and some limitation in the computing formula from Technical Methods for Making Local Emission Standards of Air Pollutants. It is suggested that health protective zone should be set reasonably considering some factors such as production scale, contaminant characteristics, the effective depth of pollution sources and landform of construction location.
