摘    要:本文从医学地理观点论述环境中的碘与地方性甲状腺肿地理流行的关系,提出了饮用水的碘含量与地方性甲状腺肿患病率的相关模式、我国地方性甲状腺肿病病区的成因类型及生产化预防措施.

Abstract:Endemic goiter is with a biogeochemical origin. From middle of the nineteenth to early twentieth century, the theory on which endemic goiter results from iodine deficiency was established by works of Chatin, Baumann, Prevost and Marine et al.. It has been proved by preventive practice and scientific research later and is universally recognized as such. In 1966, however, Suzuki reported that endemic goiter is caused by food containing high iodine.From the point view of medical geography, this paper deals with model of iodine content in drinking water with relation to incidence of endemic gioter, classification of goiter-forming provinces with iodine abnormality, and measures taken in production to prevent endemic goiter.
