Ozeane und Gebirge aus heutiger erdwissenschaftlicher Sicht

In the very last decades mainly two reasons have stimulated fundamental changes in some branches of geosciences: The increasing influence of physics and mathematics, and international research programs such as the Upper Mantle, the Geodynamics and the Deep-Sea Drilling Projects. In this review article some results as basic facts of plate tectonics are mentioned and the application of those geodynamic principles to Mediterranean orogens.
