Abstract:Chlorophenols (CPs) in sediment of the Yangtse river were analyzed by gas chromatography/ mass spectrometry. Concentrations were calculated using 13C-labeled CPs as the internal standard. The results showed that concentrations of CPs in sediments followed the order of pentachlorophenol > tetrachlorophenol > chlorophenol > dichlorophenol > trichlorophenol. The distribution features of CPs in sediments of the Yangtse river were similar among the investigated sampling stations.
