南水北调中线工程对汉江中下游工业发展的影响

南水北调中线工程计划从丹江口水库向我国北方每年调水１４５亿ｍ＾３，汉江丹江口以下地区的水资源量将随之相应减少。汉江中下游地区是湖北省盐化工、机械、石油、食品、化肥、电力的重要生产地区，是湖北省的汽车工业走廊，其经济在湖北省占有举足轻重的地位。由于经济的迅速发展，下世纪工农业生产和人民生活对水资源的需求将从现在的１４０亿ｍ＾３增加到２５０亿ｍ＾３以上，需水量将达到水资源量的５８％，潜伏着严重的水资源

IMPACT OF THE MIDDLE-ROUTE PROJECT OF WATER TRANSFER FROM SOUTH TO NORTH CHINA ON THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN THE MIDDLE AND LOWER BASINS OF HANJIANG RIVER

The middle and lower basins of Hanjiang River are economically very imp.ortant in HubeiProvince. They constitute the bases of marketable grain, cotton and oil, and agriculture on thebasins has great weight in Hubei Province. They are also the bases of salt chemical industry, mechanical industry, petroleum industry, food industry, chemical fertilizer and POwer industries.The aisle of auto industry in Hubei Province lies also 'on the basins. With cities and towns developing at a very high rate, the economics of county level coming out in front, many products having important national standing, this area becomes the new economy increase point in HubeiProvince. Because the economy develops very quickly, the water requirement for economy development in the 21 st century would be greatly increased, and the crisis of water resource shortagein the next century will be an urgent problem' to be faced with. As when the middle-route projectof water transfer from south to north China is put into effect, the water resource of the middleand lower reaches of Hanjiang River will be reduced, and this would affect the social and economysustainable development. Only through a compensation project that the negative consequence ofthe water transfer project from south to north China would be effectively diminished.
