Abstract: | Electromagnetic therapy devices designed over the last 45 years have been based on empirical (trial-and-error) techniques. This paper presents a novel approach to designing and engineering therapeutic devices. Based upon using a superconductive quantum interference device (SQUID) magnetometer for registration of the magnetic field emitted by specific organs in norm and after the injury/pathology, this approach avoids empirical engineering. The signal parameters recorded by the SQUID magnetometer allow one to derive tissue- and/or disease-specific signals. This is made possible using contemporary, state-of-the-art controls with engineering and computer science techniques. |
