Abstract:A new model was created by combination of a chemical model for the gas phase chemistry of the atmospheric boundary layer with a lagrangian model for the long-range transport of air pollutants. This chemistry/transport model is applied in a case study of the acid rain problem of Southern China. The calculated results show good agreements with measured concentrations of SO2 and sulphate. More detailed emmision data, meteorology data and more advanced computer can improve this model.
