Abstract: | A study was made to determine the effect of production process variables on fiberglass filter life in an accelerated endurance test at high temperatures. Tests were conducted in a unit designed to provide conditions simulating those encountered in field use. Test variables investigated included filtering temperature, fabric finish, bag tension, and aging at elevated temperatures. The paper discusses the relative effect of these variables with respect to the endurance of four standard, commercially available, filtration fabrics. |
