Abstract:A ship collision accident will cause serious economic losses,casualties and environmental pollution.It has become one of the major hidden dangers of ship navigation.For ship collision accidents,this paper constructs an accident cause analysis model(FRAM-FAHP)that combines functional resonance analysis method(FRAM)and fuzzy analytic hierarchy process(FAHP)method.Starting with the causation analysis of an accident,the paper transforms the accident-related events into interrelated functional modules,analyzes the mechanism of the accident from the perspective of functional characteristics,and combines the fuzzy hierarchical analysis method to carry out quantitative research to determine the main failure link leading to the accidents.The results show that the links between“discovery of collision risk”and“manipulation”,“supervision”and“avoidance”,“manipulation”and“avoidance”,“discovery of collision risk”and“external communication”are not only the main failure links leading to accidents,but also the critical path to ensure the safe navigation of ships.
