| Abstract: | This paper provides an introduction of best management practices(BMPs) for controlling non-point source pollution and a review of their applications/achievements.The BMP engineering practices for constructed wetlands,vegetated buffer zones and land/inland water ecotones and management practices for soil testing and fertilizer recommendation,variable rate fertilization,Zero or minimum tillage and hedgerow are covered in detail.Direction of continuing BMP development and the worldwide application prospects are presented. |
