Ecological Restoration of Small and Micro Wetlands in Mountainous Areas:A Case Study of Terrace Pond Micro Wetland in Lieshen Village of Liangping District

Small and micro wetland is an important part of rural landscape and an important water and soil infrastructure in rural areas.The function of wetlands has been widely recognized,but in the past,more attention has been paid to large areas of marshes,lakes,coastal wetlands and large river wetlands,while little attention has been paid to the large number of scattered small and micro wetlands.In October 2018,the 13th Conference of the Parties to the International Convention on Wetlands adopted the draft resolution on conservation and management of small and micro wetlands submitted by the Chinese government.The protection and construction of small and micro wetlands have attracted more and more attention.The rainfall in mountainous areas of the southwest China is abundant.The traditional farming habit takes terrace as an important water storage and production unit,which provides experience and basis for the construction of small and micro wetlands.In this paper,the ecological restoration in Liangping District of northeast Chongqing is taken as the research object,and the concept of mountain terrace pond small and micro wetland construction is proposed.The ecological restoration is analyzed from three aspects of design method,ecological construction and maintenance management,and the implementation path of small and micro wetland in hilly area based on the mode of rural revitalization is discussed.The study provides a new idea for rural revitalization and ecological restoration of small and micro wetlands.
