ON THE REGIONAL DIFFERENTIATION OF AGRICULTURE DEVELOPMENT ON YANGTZE RIVER DELTA

With Shanghai being its developing core, Yangtze River Delta is the largest, richest andmost developed area in China. its agriculture is also among the most advanced of our country dueto its excellent natural social and economic conditions. But at the same time economy developmentand high-density population has brought pressure to the further development of agriculture. Thecontradictions between population and limited land and between population and food hinder itssustaina13le development. Based on the regional differentiation of agriculture level of the area, using geographic factors of economy, population and resources, we did cluster analysis on the 14cities and thus proposed related sustainable strategies.
